Is there some trick to shooting and accurance...

...or do I just suck? Seems like I get 1 shotted 75% of the time, yet, when I shoot at someone clearly in my sights, NOTHING happens, short distance, long distance, whatever... It just gets frustrating! :)

if u are using full auto, fire in short bursts instead of holding down the trigger. for long distance, switch to semi-auto...u will get more accuracy out of that

Practice. I suck too but I'm getting better. I'll take a weapon and shoot a wall from different distances to see where the bullet hits. I'm getting alot more head shots now. I used to just panic and shoot for mass, but the body armor gets me smoked everytime.

play support and drop 100 bullets in their direction. that'll get them.

Bind switch fire mode(weapon slot 3) to a key that is easily accessible(I use middle mouse).

What you need to know about is shot deviation. Its the amount of distance the bullet hits from where you aim. Every shot you take has a deviation amount. Generally the first two shots have about .3 depending on weapon. then on the third shot it will move up to about .5 so when you shoot, do it like this tut.. tut.. tut.. tutt.
also your gun will have kick back so you have to pull mouse in opposite direction to stay on target between bullets. Remember to lead moving targets will rely on 5 factors. Target speed, distance, altitude,ping/latency and shot deviation

I recomend not shooting at target but rather pick a spot that the target will run by and fill the area with bullets. Hopefully they will greet each other.

just move around a lot up close to AVOID getting shot so you have more time to live and shoot more bullets at the enemy. aim for upper torso as well.

I agree, single shot can be your best friend. I was playing on a server last night taking out snipers from across the bridge with my stock Special Forces weapon (haven't remembered gun names yet!) using single shot. It did awesome, and better than the sniper rifles they were using. And BTW I am not a great player!

                              step 1: find enemy
step 2: go prone (DO NOT SHOOT!!!)
step 3 : shoot about 2-3 bullets at enemy (if ur lucky he will die)
                              step 4: repeat step 3
step 5: (if he is not dead by now u have a problem)if he is still standing just spray and pray, if he went prone lke he should zoom in and shoot 1 or 2 bullets.

if you die after all this the you either: need practice or you just suck

                              CAUTION:do not use when laggy
