Warning! Clan(LOF) Ranked Server

Yeah like the other guy said I don’t know all the details. But if someone was being a jerk about not giving over the drivers seat to the servers clansmen, then I would kick them too, the first time. I would also kick idle players, Team wounders, & definitely BANN stats padders.

Wouldn't it be easier to go....."hey, woiuld you give up the chopper so my clan can use it too?" instead of not passing go and not collecting 200 dollars and send them directly to jail?

Not so. If it is ranked EA has strict guidelines, this violates them. If you e-mail EA with the server name and IP, they may strip them of their ranking.

Yeah, of course we ask nicely at first.
Thats why I said if they were being jerks about it, like some 12 year olds would do and talk back saying; to bad we have it etc.......next thing you would see was a driverless chopper spinninng around.

Like i said in my thread about this, If its Ranked there should be rules to prevent clowns that admin these sites.

If I'm standing on the Helo Pad, and waiting for the Chopper to spawn, and someone comes up and steals it from me, I will ban them from the servers I have admin on.

Are we losing sight of what BF2 is? A game for entertainment, recently there has been so much discontent created from this game, my failure to understand this is frustrating.

Actually, EA provides the tools to Kick or Ban anyone at the renters discrection. There are a small handful of configs that are off limits (# players to start, ticket ratio, no passwords (a big no-no), etc.) But there are no rules when it comes to banning players because, as has been said repeatedly, the clan/player pays $200-$300 a month for that server, so its' theirs to administer as they wish, with a few exceptions.

And as a side note, I'm not one of those jerks who would ban someone for using a vehicle too much. BUT, if you see me waiting for a helo, respawn and take it 6 times in a row because you happen to know exactly where to wait, and continue to do it after being warned to "share a little bit", you will get yourself KICKED for vehicle-whoring.

On top of that, if some smart-ass little 14-year old came onto the server acting like he pwned the place, and then tried to say that EA's EULA prevented me from banning him, he be banned before he finished typing, just to prove a point.

I understand the "My server" argument, but why would you want to be like that. Word gets around, and pretty soon nobody wants to play with you. I'm grateful to those that pay that money, and let me play on their server, but only to a point. When they start making ridiculous demands, And especially (as I've often seen) are totally rude about it, I.E., "Get out of the chopper or I'll kick you" that's total crap. Not only that, but it affects that person's stats. Not fair.

My clan and I just got kicked & ban for not giving up the chopper. We were doing good also. So just a handy warning not to go to this server. The admins are a joke. Granted, they own the server and pay for it but gimme a break, you kick somebody because they don't let you drive a vehicle? Not a rant, just a warning.

Ultimately, sure, it's their server and they can do as they like.

I think this sums it up, but it does remind me alot of the old "its my toy, if you dont like it, im going home".

This is why only EA should have official ranked servers.

I've seen people get kicked who were in first on their team just before the round is over so the admin/clan would get first and the gold ribbon.

I've seen people get kicked for taking "the admin/clan's" vehicles.

I've seen people get kicked for being "too good" or better than the clan/admins on the server.

I've seen people get kicked for punishing for TKers.

It's just stupid. All the clan/admin power abusers should go off and die. This applys to some people in this thread. Losers.

They have no buisness running ranked servers if they're playing by their own rules and treat other players like ****. I'm not saying they're all like this though, I've played on some great player hosted servers.
