    Re: One shot,One Head,One Kill

Head is a kill shot no matter the body armor...hitting them in the head, whole 'nother story.

1: You have to compensate for lag, due to BF2 having "compensation" built in (it's crap and just about every sniper hates it).
2: You have to be steady, and even the most steady hand will miss if there is too much distance (cone of fire).
3: A little tip=Ping below 100 aim at a moving target the opposite direction they are moving; above 100 lead the target accordingly (again the compensation).
4: Accuracy, tricky but can be mastered. I'm fantastic with the M95 and average with the L96A1 same goes for M24 and in certain situations I can excell with the SVD...I don't use the China rifle because I don't like it.
    5: Practice, Practice, Practice.

Instead, try to get up on a hill overlooking a flag, and you'll be close enough to see their head. Just wait for them to stand still, and fire. When you get good, the target only needs to stand still for only one second for you to get a one-shot kill.
Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever EVER, snipe on a top of a hill. Ppl will see you way to easy!

your typing is rather annoying. Im sure you can work on that now that you have your veteran sniper badge. and to be honest. It isnt hard to get. I dont never play sniper and I got it. I had all my veteran kit badges before 10k. That being said. Good for you man. Thanks for the tips. Next few posts try to adapt better typing skill.

Just aim a tiny bit above their head. I get lots of head shots (especially on IO jalalabad where everyone is a sniper, so they're all stationary) I use mainly SVD when I'm MEC, and L96A1 when I'm USMC.

On servers with vehicles, I use mainly the M95 so you can kill troops on the ground, and sometimes shoot down choppers if they're badly damaged, or snipe people from vehicles (gotta have lots of luck for that, though)

Its hard to do, but with practice u can get good at it, it helps to unlock some better sniper rifles though, with some practice u can sniper at 300M-400M over that i think its just too big a pain

200m & up u have to allow for the bullet to drop SLightly, the farther the more u raise it up. and at long distance , unless u practice alot dont try to hit moving targets, shoot at the ones laying down or standing,
Aim for the head with every weapon, make it like routine, will help alot

I sometimes get off a wild headshot with whatever sniper rifle I've got, but thats only because I was a Counterstrike pro (read wh0re) before I was lately sucked in by the relative realism of BF2.

You can sometimes hide for an enternity on a single round (hid right above a cappable on Gulf of Oman) killing 15 dying only twice with the sniper kit. At other times (karkand) I act like a nub.

Furthemore, I kind of prefer the multi-shot MEC sniper rifle. If you miss the first time you don't exit the scope and can fire other quick rounds to get that dodgy target.

Really? you mean shoot "behind them"? I always lead my enemies, no matter the ping......... and yes I miss a lot....

I'm not sure, but sounds bizarre. When my ping is below 100 (usually at 50 or 60), I don't lead at all. I put my crosshairs where I think the guy will go, and once he gets there, I fire.

BF2's latency compensation is set to 130 ping by default, hence leading in front/behind based on ping higher or lower.

Usually when I am sniping on Road to Jalalabad (which is often), I always get a headshot. You could some of the shots I take are lucky, for example: I would be on the MEC team, and I would be in one of those huts and I would see a USMC player running towards the lake, I'd take a shot at head level a little infront of him and he would be down calling for a medic.

when sniping other snipers, remember that their suit can be deceptive it makes it look like their head is where it isnt.
