Yeah, just saw Doug on the insider on g-phoria show. He pretty much just said that they are getting HL2 done, and trying to get it shipped at the end of august.
They showed the same clips we have seen in the dev videos etc.
But I guess it's good for him to go on there a announce the information to everyone.
Also, about the whole buy DOOM 3 post. Uhh, you can't judge a game that has not even been released yet. That's completely stupid. HL2 has not even been released.. get over it. Stop complaining.
I think Doom 3 had purtier pictures, but gameplay wise HL2 is always better to me. I'm not into the fast moving players with rockets flying everywhere and plasaguns and crap. Fun for awhile but gets old. And I like HL2's look better....even if it may not look as dark and scarey as Doom3, i like the way the models and stuff look (when I think HL2 tho im mainly thinking about CS:S.....soooo just saying if they were to go together.. But HL2 and Doom3 aside...I think STALKER looks completely awesome in the pictures.

i pretty much agree, im tired of screen shots and previews. they dont really satisfy the public anymore, give us a date we can count on, a video to drool over, or the beta itself.
How long have we've known about HL 2 though?? Maybe a year and hlaf right? Thats a really short amount of time and they have given us a crapload of media. Same goes for CS:S, except we have only heard about it since E3 and we have 4 videos of it, what more do ya want??
