Something i just noticed...

Being one of the ones who has all weapons unlocked.. ive noticed that my points are not registering now... no matter if i use them or not (which i dont cause whats the point.. im expecting them to be gone soon so why get use to them)

Been playing off and on (approx 2-3hours today) and i still have the same points as i did yesterday before this all happened. I generally play on a few select servers that i know update at the end of the round (the reason why i play on those servers) so please dont give me that "it could take 2 days to update" crap.

Just a heads up for all you "lucky" ones... your efforts may be in vain until they get this cleared up

In the future, if you really are concerned about "exposing security holes" to EA (which I sincerely doubt) rather than grandstanding, please e-mail me personally since it appears that you don't have the correct contact info. I will PM you the address.

All of the changes made will be rolled back in the next couple hours. Users may have to rechoose any unlocks they would have legitimately made in the last day or so as a result of the roll-back, but no stats should be lost.

I hope they will reset the ranks soon because i ordered bf2 today and it should arrive in the following days.And it would be nice if everyone who spent a month ranking up will be in the same rank as me =)

I too got the unlocks, but it really didn't help me change my mind cause I already knew I was gonna unlock the G3.

Well, what a wonderful few days it has been. Since EA didn't take the time to respond (or maybe even read) our emails about various stats-server security holes, it clearly showed us how much they care. Therefore, we came to the conclusion that modifying 5 million accounts wouldn't be that big of a deal.

That being said, accounts with ids from 40,000,000 to 45,000,000 now have all of their weapons unlocked.

What will be next week? Perhaps we'll give everyone their Distinguished Service Medal, or maybe we'll elevate everyone to the rank of Sergeant Major.

Kudos zero2zero! I'm glad someone did this! I am 110% behind you. We the people must take our game back! I wish I had access to ranked packets myself though... Now we just need to "hack" BFHQ to give our community per server statistics.

Without modders ("hackers"), the BF franchise would've died like so many have before. EA then blames those same modders on why ranked was private. This was a load of crap! EA made the system private from day one, I mean geez, there was a "RENT SERVER" button in the demo!

I'd also like to take this oppourtunity to ask that everyone to please play on non-ranked servers. We must choke the lifeblood of this ranked ******** by simply leaving those incredibly expensive servers empty. Hopefully by such an action EA will realize how grossly inappropriate it is to _force_ people to use ranked in order to play the _complete_ game.

If you run a server, please use my "mod" to enable all weapons on your non-ranked server. The more admins that do this, the more that will play non-ranked. You can find those details here:

EA needs to take a serious look at itself before gamers completely forget they exist. It was a class act releasing expansion pack details not even a month after the game comes out, and then planning to release it no more than 4 months after the game. Talk about pumping consumers for money, but then again, that's exactly what you are good at, isn't it? The more I think about it, you guys could patent how to rehash the same game over and over every year. But I guess you'll have to fight Nintendo for that one. HEY! You two would be make such a good team! EA + NINTENDO = OMG INVESTORS BUY NOW!!!11onewonnneone

I love the new weapons :) , but unfortunatly EA is going to solve it by relocking all the weapons so people w/ promotions have to just re-unlock it. Which is kinda cool cause if u dont like the weapon u unlocked the first time u geta second chance.

I'm glad they did it. EA needs to learn a lesson and step back. Let the modders have at all the info and WE will make this game good (since you guys seem so incompetent at it).

I hope they learn not to release pre-ready things and really spend the time to DO IT RIGHT! It seems a lost concept these days.

Where do you suggest that people submit these bug reports to? The bfhq address that you guys claim to read but not respond to? The tech support section on ea.com that is manned by trained monkies? Oh, I know, the BF2 message board that EA has -- oh, wait, nevermind, you guys took that link down right when the game was released.

Get real. There are no reliable, published ways of getting in contact with a competent person at EA. It sounds like he did what you guys publish and was ignored. So he demonstrated that the bug he submitted is real. Would you rather he had released proof-of-concept code to the entire world? Or maybe kept it quiet and let people silently screw up everything in the background over a period of weeks, making a complete mess of the ranking system. You should be happy that the fix is so easy due to his grandstanding rather than flaming the guy.

But, hey, based on the level of QA that has been shown with this game, the lack of communication with the public, and the half-truths and outright lies that have been told, I'm not surprised that you are passing the blame. It is, afterall, the community's fault that EA doesn't have a way of contacting people with the ability to affect change.

And i agree as well they ''lied'' about the game,i remember reading on the official website that bots/AI gonna be smarter,well why?? since their is no COOP why should we care? for practice? gimme a break, COOP always was for lan party and buddies who just want to kills some bot,And they never say it clearly(No coop supported) on the official website in the game features,and dont start with the ''It wasnt in game features,so no coop'' crap,cause in Battlefield Vietnam they didnt say crap about the coop,but yet there is one.

Anyway im off topic,but let's be honest,EA is starting to lose it,No damn community feedback from them,except when they need to sell us their game,after buying it,they dont give a damn about the gamers.

There is a petition online for COOP to be put back in,last time i checked there were like 4000 + signatures......so if they (EA) really listen to what the gamers want,they would put it back,but no,already talk about another fu**** expansion,for what? few more maps? weapon?.....always the same sh*t...Sorry but the reality is,buy our games,and stfu...that's EA policy.
