The truth behind all of these "random" unlocks...

Our ranked server has the weapons unlocked....because of this glitch. But now it's not showing up on the master server list! :evil: :hmm:

Just checked again, and my weapons are all unlocked. Don't worry guys, your accounts will NOT be reset, that would be unfair and would lose EA lots of customers.

The easiest thing for EA to do is to set all weapons to 'locked', and then credit you with unlocks based on your rank (LCprl getting 1, Cprl getting 2, etc.). Easy script to make, and is totally fair.

Until then, I'm going to be deciding which weapon to unlock next, =D

I hope they will reset the ranks soon because i ordered bf2 today and it should arrive in the following days.And it would be nice if everyone who spent a month ranking up will be in the same rank as me =)

Same here. Those guys just spoiled the whole game for me and I'm not playing it till it's fixed. I'm starting to wonder if we will ever be able to play the game in decent conditions. I mean, there's a new problem every 2 days now. :|:

Well, what a wonderful few days it has been. Since EA didn't take the time to respond (or maybe even read) our emails about various stats-server security holes, it clearly showed us how much they care. Therefore, we came to the conclusion that modifying 5 million accounts wouldn't be that big of a deal.

In the future, if you really are concerned about "exposing security holes" to EA (which I sincerely doubt) rather than grandstanding, please e-mail me personally since it appears that you don't have the correct contact info. I will PM you the address.

All of the changes made will be rolled back in the next couple hours. Users may have to rechoose any unlocks they would have legitimately made in the last day or so as a result of the roll-back, but no stats should be lost.

Based on his statement, it looks like he believes he and others sent emails to EA to no avail. Hence the reason for his 'grandstanding' post.

Thanks for the info, but we paid for this game and I don't appreciate your condecending tone towards your customers here, especially when it's EA/DICE's problem.
