Wow, wrong. If a .50 passes close enough to a human body it will do damage to the individual. I'm not saying you will suddenly cease to exist, but, you will be injured. And, it COULD be fatal.

A miss from a .50 is NOT like a miss from every other caliber of ammunition.

Edit: Unless you shoot into the sky at nothing of course...

Basically the snipers seem to lack consistancy, although at distnaces of 100 and 200 metres I've got it pretty much sussed, when I start having targets that are 300 metres away I struggle.

Also hitting a moving target is not impossible, at long range it is extremly difficult to do so, from about 200m and closer moving shots are possible, even when the enemy is not running away or towards you.

My sniper rifle accuracy is generally about 34-36% and overall is about 20%. Higher than my friends by a good margin.
I should consider myself lucky, because mine is about 60 percent with the sniper rifle. Which is down from about 85 percent in battlefield 1942. Also if you are on the ground and trying to hit a guy on the lip of a mountain or building do not even attempt it. you will miss repeatedly.

There doesn't seem to be any reason for misses. I was on a building last night and should have to have aimed a little higher due to the height difference and I would miss. Lower the crosshair to on a persons face still a miss 40 percent of the time. This is not realistic. In real life, sniper accuracy is like 98 percent or higher or they would not be a sniper. A sniper is a one shot one kill because they may only get one shot at a target. Something needs to be changed for 1.03. Its that simple.

You guys make it like a sniper rifle because it has a scope on it should be a perfect shot everytime. Anyone that has shot a high-powered rifle knows that there are things that can effect the shot, like wind and humidity. Just because you have the guys face in your site should not mean a guaranteed kill. That's realistic. I think you guys have been watching Saving Private Ryan too much.

Id take the hit in accuracy if I felt like i could actually snipe someone without being spotted by that person and then getting killed as he shoots his AK at me. I should be able to scope far enough away from a target so that it, at least, isnt easy to see me. It gets irritating finding a nice sniping spot, only to have someone burst you from across the map and kill you.

The unlocked sniper rifle, seems to have a bigger crosshair than the standard rifle, is this right? Or is it just me?

Myself, I would say the sniper is perfectly balanced, not too hard, not too easy...

So what, sometimes you miss, you never know, your soldier could have farted or burped whilst letting a shot off...

Who knows what went on in the minds of the Devs, however all I know is that I am glad snipering is hard as if it wasn't we would just have one big, Lee Harvey Oswald show!

I want the M95 to pierce the heli body! Not only the window...

A shot to the legs/body of a pilot should do "practically" the same damage as when they are outside the heli...
So many times i've seen a blackhawk but they always hover just high enough so i cant see their head... I want to shoot at the general pilot area and do enough damage to either scare him away or take him out with the next shot.

And shots to the engine should take atleast 25 - 33% damage to the chopper!
It's an engine not a massive 3x3 foot steel block.

You know the G3 rifle. In real life it can split a solid iron block from a VOLVO 240 with 1 - 2 shots.
Don't belive me? I've done it myself to a junk car...
And what makes a turbine engine immune to a .50 cal bullet then?

Have any of you guys ever noticed invisible walls near rocks?
Sometimes you have to jump over "nothing" to move around them.
I think sutch invisible walls exist on some other places as well.

As i posted in another thread i had the M95 in prone position 40 meters away from a guy in a guard tower, he was prone and had his head sticking out pretty far.
(EDIT: I must add his head was in the OPEN, not sticking through a wall like the feet sometimes do.)
I shoot a bullet straight at his head but nothing happens...
COME ON! 40 meters. Deviation is NON existant there.
I shoot again, a perfect shot but still nothing and i get killed by a M249 gunner to my left because the M95 makes sutch a nice little sound.

Sniper issues really need's to be adressed!

Make them damage engines and make them pierce the WHOLE cockpit area instead of just the windows.

Ya, the more powerful sniper would be a nice addition to my arcenal.
