Your getting kicked for TKing with artillery, which really sux. It's happened to me, but I stopped using the artillery unless a.) someone calls for it b.) there are a bunch of n00bs on the other team all bunched together.... Other than that I won't use the artillery.

If you a squad leader, follow the Commander's orders, or at least issue them down to your sqaud. Pester the Commander for new orders when your squad completes the last one.

How do you complete a commander or squad leaders orders? I have been killing at the point where they say to attack of defend and repair where they say repair, but the line stays there till they issue new orders... is that what you mean?

Disclaimer: if your cammnader sux, your gonna loose.. If your commander is good, you'll know it really quickly

If a commander tells a squad to defend, he could be seeing the enemy approaching in the cmdr's screen. so defend...

If he issues an attack order attack until you have the flag, then ask for another order... squad leaders can hotkey for new orders and I have found that for squad members VoIP is very effective for this.

if you look at my bf2s.com stats. . i've played strike at karkand for a good 2-3 days, the amount of time it took me to get corporal.

strike at karkand is a very small map, w/ lots of action, perfect for "grinding" out corporal, or any of the higher ranks

Commander SHOULD be stuck in a corner somewhere. You cant run around an play effectively if your the commander stuck in command mode. You can zoom into a flag an spot that guy that your team is tryin to track down around that flag. You can spot guys for your team from your Sat scans. You can drop supplies to the guys that are dmged from that rough flag take.

There is no reason for a commander to be doin anything other than defending an repair his assests(arty, uav, sat).


To make this post ontopic honestly the best way to get points is choppers. I saw a guy the other nite with 255 pts 0 kills an several deaths. Just load up the transport chopper an grab flag.s

I have to disagree.. GET INVOLVED, what you can do is get in a blackhawk (not as a gunner) or in the attack choppers as the gunner, there is alot of space between the flags to be in the commander screen. It's crazy but I rode around in an LAV, as a passenger, for a whole game as commander (switching between medic, support, and engineer)..

Get out there and fight!!!! :evil:

I actually watched two of my teammates stat whoring on Karkand as commander. The dumba**es were just behind the two arty guns on the USMC side firing off rounds and then collecting ammo packs from one another. I yelled at them, they kept doing it, then called them by name and started an unsuccessful kick vote(of course). Finally they started fighting, but not before gaining about 60 pts with their little stat whore setup.
I wonder if the 1.03 patch will parse through backlogs and detect this stuff and discredit it or just the stuff after the patch...that would be poetic justice to see those a**holes patch the game check into BFHQ and see that 9000 pts are suddenly missing.

I was on that server when that happened. I checked the scores as soon as you mentioned it and saw they each had around 60 points with no kills / deaths. I wrote down their names to post them here. Unfortunatley they came back as soon as you left and started stat whoring again. At that point I was nice and warmed up so I still finished better than them everytime. I'll post their names when I'm not (looks over shoulder) working. . .

I totally disagree and this bothers me to no end. Being a commander is a full time job, period. If you're on the battlefield fighting, you're simply doing a disservice to your team and being a stat whore all at the same time.

oh yes, i play strike at karkand 24/7 i whore that tank so damn much ive gotten kicked.. but only 3000 points till corporal... and i have every weapon unlocked

Is your name in game also HorrorBusiness? I don't remember seeing you there, but maybe you were. One of their names was Sniper...something(SniperSteve?), I don't remember the other. I should have written them down.

You forgot the helicopters ... I was in a server last night where 5 people were in a helicopter medding, engineering etc. with like 1 - 5 kills, no deaths and anywhere from 200 - 300 points each just from getting spawnpoints and fixing the helicopter when everyone else in the server had 30 - 50 points. People like this ruin the game though, at least for me.
