Good way to get Rank faster

I made Lance Corpral a week or 2 ago and still just shy of half way to Corpral. Hoping to get up in the ranks a little faster, I know the easy ways to be a medicm revive and heal everyone and be the commander to try and get 2times the points, and then capping a lot of flags, but are there any other good strats for getting alot of points? Because I don't entirely like being a Commander... too much duty.. like being a mindless drone :P

Tank whoring/Spawn camping is a fantastic way to gain a lot of points. Just don't expect to make friends here or in the game from it.

Play Strike at Karkand almost exclusively.

commander is not a good way to make points, just play th game, not only kill but try to capture as many flags as possible it's the only way to make points (lots of them)

I don't know why everyone want's quick ways out to get to higher ranks. There's simply no way. It all depends on how good of a player you are. If you're only averaging 20 points per round, it's going to take you a while. However, if you play the game with strategy, and your averaging 50+ every game, then you may be on your way. It relies a lot on team work as well. If you're in a squad that's working together, you'll simply have an awesome run that round, and average at least 40+ points a game. It's all a time factor. However, the better player you are, the faster you'll rank up . . . but what's the rush?

I'd like to use the better guns is the rush... I unlocked the medic one figureing it would help me with getting more kills as a medic. And it does I suppose....

Im an alright player... I average 90 points a round on the newb servers and 40 a round on the pretty good servers. But on the newb servers I lose alot sometimes from them being so stupid as to jump out of my vehicle and then punish me for a TK.

Usually all I play is Strike at Karkand. I like doing Spec Ops and taking thier stuff out. I guess it'll be better when patch v1.03 comes out since then I'll gain points for C4'ing the enemies Sat, UAV and art setups.

I actually watched two of my teammates stat whoring on Karkand as commander. The dumba**es were just behind the two arty guns on the USMC side firing off rounds and then collecting ammo packs from one another. I yelled at them, they kept doing it, then called them by name and started an unsuccessful kick vote(of course). Finally they started fighting, but not before gaining about 60 pts with their little stat whore setup.
I wonder if the 1.03 patch will parse through backlogs and detect this stuff and discredit it or just the stuff after the patch...that would be poetic justice to see those a**holes patch the game check into BFHQ and see that 9000 pts are suddenly missing.

go to a server call "CQB". There they host a 64 man server on 16 player maps. Lots of opertuniity for medics, snipers, and support.

If you a squad leader, follow the Commander's orders, or at least issue them down to your sqaud. Pester the Commander for new orders when your squad completes the last one.

There are several ways to get allot of points, but it pretty much boils down to killing, capturing, and teamwork.

Not that i disagree taht commanders shouldn't be sitting in corners. Howeever i have been kicked and banned for running around whne commander (not that i wasnt commanding).

Personally i believe the best way to get alot of points is toi start a squad, then fill it be asking ppl to join. Become a medic or support and constatly refuel your guys. Tell them what to do (just like when the commander tells the squads what to do), like attack defend ect.. Tell your guys to spawn on you constantly it really helps alot.....
