Snipers on your team...

I was wondering how everyone felt about snipers on their team. Do you mind them? How would you rather have them play? Is their something they do that you think they should change?

I'm just wondering because I seem to get a lot of negative attitude from squad leaders and just players in general when im a sniper....my score is alright and I always try and give support to my squad

Whats everyones thought on this?

Nobody likes a camper. You can't "help" your squad when you are camping....

I dont think that snipers should be able to be squad leaders becuase generally they are more lone wolf than anything and plus I hate it when im a sniper and I randomly become squad leader and then like 5 people spawn on me and get us killed.

As long as you know how to use a sniper you're fine. Snipers can be a very offensive kit.

Oh, I forgot. Providing cover and clearing an area before your squad reaches it isn't actually helping them.

Oh, I forgot. You can't clear anything. It is sooo easy to own a sniper with any gun. If you want to provide cover, be the SUPPORT class.

As long as they make the other team's tickets go down I could care less... unless they're on my squad and disobey

I'm not a fan of snipers, and think they are not only a waste of a team mate but a coward. I understand they are suppose to be this one shot one kill gunsman, and in real life they are great tools for warfare but in a internetgame its just gay.

You have a stand off between the two teams, and some guy in a tower who only comes down for ammo, shoots everyone on the ground on the head. It's takes no skill to be a sniper other than learning to use the mouse a little more. It just really takes all the fun out of the game to be shot by somone hiding and doing nothing more.

I dont even mind campers at all. You have a AK and your in a bush or popping around corners and killing, thats cool; atleast your in the field, and your open to shots too. The only way snipers ever killed is if artillery lands on top fo a buiilding or they are spotted everynow and then and then sniped out themselves to make them feal stupid.

As far as them scouting, lowering tickets or clearing the way for advancing troops. BWHAAA! The ticket loss MOST snipers drop are far lower than other kits. Unless they are spawn camping its rare for them to get many kills because people are usually running, which makes it impossible to be killed unless its coming toward the sniper.

I picked up my sniper basic combat with a pistol and gernades just to get the award. It's just so annoying to be killed by the same guy everytime to spawn and just get into battle. I even tell my own team mate snipers they need to pick up a diffrent kit. I'm not biased on that.

What are you talking about? You kill the enemies in the area, ur team is alive because of that, which now allows them to take an objective

i read a book about navy seal training, and to quote "we feel much safer when we know we are being watch by our own sniper"

if navy seals like them how can they not be usefull?!

Because in REAL combat a sniper sees the entire battle field usually and it's real life at stake. A sniper for a platoon on special op missions are known as "God" because they see all and can remove anyone.

But in a computer video game, they arent helpful...they have a hard time shooting people who are running...which people do alot of. A computer game is much more fast paced and daring then thos ein real life. to compare this game to real life warfare is out of control.

i haven't been to war, but im almost 100% posative the sniper can't see EVERYTHING going on like you said

i think snipers are very usefull, its an opinon tho, you don't have to jump on my back

Just because you cant hit moving targets (its not hard by the way) it doesnt mean the sniper is useless. countless times a sniper in my squad has spotted enemies and told us where to were so we can capture a flag. coward, maybe..... but they can still be useful.

I usually only use the sniper kit if the other team is being lame. If you sniper whore, or use the noob cannon, I'll match your cheese and win.
