First of all we have enough planes already. And the damn things are hard enough to shoot down by ground forces already. The A-10 would be ok if the ground forces are also given a way to counter it. If the aircraft in the game dominate every map all the time its no fun for ground forces, if thats the case we might as well just play a flight sim.

The real A-10 is near invincable. It would be the BH of aircraft. But I don't care, I want realism, and realism means the US kicks all ass all the time.

While I understand your scoring system Rep, I think the Civil War was a wash- no winner. Yes technically the North won. But any country that has that long and vicious a civil war has no winner. Also Kosovo was by no means a war as compared to the others listed.

a civil war is a war where a country fights among itself yes? the south was america too right? so no matter the outcome, america would have won?

you really should define what you mean by 'win' and by 'war' if you are going to arbitrarily score them like that. is win beating the other side or simply not being utterly destroyed? is a war anything w/ war in the name or only what you decide to call a war?

revoulitionary war- america seceded from britain. thats a win for america.
war of 1812- loss, at best a stalemate.
sp-am war- win.
cival war- hardly counts as both sides were america.
WW1- iim not sure if you were taught this, but world war one wasnt called thaat because america was the only country fighting.
WW2- see above.
korea- korea was a loss, stalemate at best.
vietnam- vietnam was a loss.
kosovo- kosovo was a NATO action. america is not NATO.
gulf war one- although led by the us, the gulf war was a UN action.
gulf war two- you mean the invasion of iraq right? america may have started it but is relying on the rest of the world to bail it out.

I can tell this isn't gunna go anywhere... I tend to think if you're part of a team and your team wins, that means you've won also, but whatever... Let's droop it and move on.

If you want to get really technical, the southerners are probably more correct with their "War Between the States" line than the term Civil War, as a fully-functioning nation had been founded before the initiation of hostilities. So, in a sense, you can chalk up a 'win' in the USA column even though it was two American forces fighting it out (at that time, there were two 'Americas' technically, but only one USA). I draw the line at 'War of Northern Aggression' though, that is about as sensible as the German claim that they were forced into WWI.

As for WWI and WWII (and the gulf wars), the US wasn't the only country fighting but if your team wins a game do you not count it as a time when you won?

1812- Victory through inferior firepower. We 'won' (after having half the country invaded and the capitol torched) because we weren't the big threat, so I'm with ya on scratching that off the list ;>)

-Also, nifty about the 'new' A-10s, I hadn't heard that there was a new model (I guess I just heard about the old ones going away and thought that was the end of 'em).
