This better be a bug, if it's not that's the most moronic thing ever. Not only is the supposed one shot kill sweet spot not a structural weak spot, it only seems to work on an Abrams.
This is both unbalancing and down right annoying. DICE better fix it, or remove it if it's meant to be there.Comment

Click on tank vs. tank
than click on the "click for vid"
It's a way to get 2 hits with 1 round. It hits the upper armor and then ricochets into the turret.Comment

Re: Tank vs tank one shot kill.(full health)
I got a few one shot tank kills just today. I've been practicing that golden shot over and over again in real games (after I was the unfortunate victim to it a couple times in a single day) and I must say it's really starting to pay off in tank versus tank combat. A situation that happened just today where the shot saved my arse: I was in a tank and badly wounded by a TOW/AT missile on Jalalabad and the fully repaired enemy tank knew this and was coming over the hill to finish me off. He came over the ridge and I knew my only chance to survive was to hit him with the magical shot. I took aim, fired and blew him up with a single round. I thought maybe I was mistaken and that he was in fact wounded by something when I wasn't paying attention but quickly the high-ranking player sounded off in chat with a quick "BS one shot kill??" remark. It's a shame all vehicles don't have these sweet spots because it really adds a real skill element to the vehicle combat.Comment

Bingo!Originally posted by MailmanThe only realistic 1 shot kill i could think of would be to hit the vert skinny space between the main chassis and the turret.
It's not that hard to do when both tanks are still, it's rather difficult to do when rolling or at a distance, but it's 100% possible as I've done it myself.Comment

Isn't that the sweetest feeling? I do the one shot kill thing as well.

I know where it's weakspot is. But If I told you guys, then you would go and tell some other people. J/K! The place I usually aim for, is anywhere in the back of the tank, but if you are going toe to toe, and the tanker is being smart and keeping his front to you, shoot him in the treads.Comment

One shot kill it’s so old I’m surprised people are still talking about it and take pride in getting it. :)
Yes, it’s possible, you should fire a tank round in such a way as to have multiple hits using ricochet on the body of the other tank. It’s easier to aim at the exterior, where the turret meets the treads. Good hunting!Comment

Re: Tank vs tank one shot kill.(full health)
You can, but it's as much luck as it is skill. The area slightly to the left or right in front of the area where the turrent joins the rest of the tank is your target. Basically you have to "bounce" the shell so that you get two hits from one shell.Originally posted by Tld_lithiumIs it possible to destroy tank with the other tank with only one shot(front).?
I see this happening more and more. Is there a place on tank you need to aim for, or this is some kind of glich(hack)???
I've done it myself, but without any degree of reliability, usually it's two shots (unless I'm on a TOW :-)Comment

Re: Tank vs tank one shot kill.(full health)
There are some sweet spot in tanks and APC´s where you can do massive damage.
The one´s that I know of:
The APC´s sweet spot is just above the wheels and under the chassis...lateral shot.
Abrahams...the little window under the turret, or try to shot at 45º angle on the top of the front threads (this shot seems to deflect and hit the turret, and counts as two shots).
The T80 is a little more tricky but in the left and right of the tank, near the front, there are some panels that stick out, if you hit between them and the tank you got also a lot of damage.
I´ve hear other spots but never managed to get that golden hit.
if you are on foot try to hot the lower part of the tank near the threads, also does a lot of damage, but a very tricky and dangerous shot (normally you must lie on the ground).
P.S. - LOL only now I saw how ancient was this post.Comment

I always try for the one shot kill when the enemy tank is facing me and close enough to aim for the sweet spot as showed in the above link. Fun when it works but it is hard. However the plus side is that if you don't succeed with the first shot, the second usually does the job

Re: Tank vs tank one shot kill.(full health)
A one-shot kill tank vs. tank is possible as stated above.
Also if the enemy tanker lays a mine and then gets back in his tank, he gets credit for a tank kill and not a mine kill when you run over his mine. I have been accused of cheating many times because of this.Comment
