This it totally possible as it's happened to me and I've done it to others. There is a video kicking about on a site which show where to aim (just above front track so the shell deflects off the turret effectively giving you 2 hits with one shell), but it's still quite hard to achieve on a moving target never mind a static one.

ive been killed in one shot from an apc, as an apc. never as a tank...but i have been in a vodnik with full health that got blown up by a single grenade

There was a video out awhile ago that shows how to do it more often then not. Showed shooting at the square area above the track as looking from striaght on, the premise was that this area would cause a richochet off the turret and main body causing 3 registered hits and an insta kill if done correctly.

I cant believe it, i saw the video posted earlier and loaded up a server. Got into a tank on Gulf and ran into another tank, i used the ricochet method and funny enough i got the 1 shot kill. I then carrierd on and came past another tank, missed the first round but killed it in the second. I was then banned from the server with the following message:

"You have been banned by the server admin for the following reasons: USing Tank hacks in open game"

It made me chuckle

I was the twat that posted to this. I dont see the need to talk **** to someone for posting. you don't have to read it. If someone wants to comment on an old post they have every right. Sorry if your put out by having to take a whole 20 seconds out of your hard busy life to look at it. Grow up.

However many people seemed to have wanted to comment again after me even though most seemed to totally miss the fact that I provided a link to see a video of the 1 shot kill. Either way the topic obviously had intrest.

Exactly!

I always try for the one shot kill when the enemy tank is facing me and close enough to aim for the sweet spot as showed in the above link. Fun when it works but it is hard. However the plus side is that if you don't succeed with the first shot, the second usually does the job

This is why I always try for the sweet spot, two shots isn't a bad consolation prize. I've managed to take out an enemy tank with one APC missile to the same spot. I pretty sure it was brand new, as it had just come around the first corner on the right USMC side of Karkand, but I could be wrong.

Anybody else manage a 1 shot APC Missile >> Tank kill?

Lol yeah, that'd be worth watching.

I've been trying hard to get the one-shot kill but it's never worked for me. I must be a lousy aimer too as I rarely get the two shot kill. I always aim for the front of the tracks where possible but this rarely seems to work for me.

Thanks for reviving my 14 months old post LOL. You must be a medic.
Since then I killed bunch of tanks with that sweet spot and I's still going strong
