Today will be phase 2 of the Sirs Beta Testing Service, during this time the password will be changed and the game will be tested in a PRIVATE Session.

I will have to try the b version now, but what I'm presently looking at is taking the working shader cache folder and copying it to the Realism mod folder. So far what I know is that BF2 will recognize these shaders and use them and so far I have no stuttering, but since the problem at times appeared after a length of game play, I need to see how long I can play before the stuttering issue comes back or if it does at all. I will know more tonight.

if not everyone is getting this. Be sure the coding doesnt force it to search in like the C: Drive or something. I have my BF2 Installed in my E: drive so just to be checking that. I havent found out how to fix it either.

The link to the 2.8b version keeps giving me errors. I tried to find it going through filefront from the home page, but all I found was the original 2.8.

Filefront was having an issue earlier and I finally got the file. Can't wait till I get home to try it.

It's all you need to do, but you will need to load bf2_realism first for the game to create the directory. Then you can exit and copy the shaders over. :)

The Realism mod is only a physics pack. The only time you need a mod to render the shaders is when you change your settings or new materials are introduced.

hey you guys go in davis's server im in there go in and play and DAVIS can you make the spawn time 15 seconds again cause teh medics have no chance to save people, and its just lame at 0, and dont make the maps so big put like a couple 64 but put some 16 there fun especialy with realism!!

i agree, make the server a 16 players only maps. you will never reach 64 players anyway, especially not with the ping i was having.

Best thing to do is set it to 64 players and make them play on 16 player version of Strike at Karkand.

Not to be a stickler, and I don't even think its possible yet cause I haven't seen anyone making new weapons this far into modding, but you're regular infantry grunt in the Marines (in Iraq) carries an M16A4. Basically M16, scoped, with that broom stick foregrip stickin down. 2 of my bestfriends have been to Iraq and back, both Infantry, both Marines.

Engineers carry the standard M16. My third friend we've sent over there is a USMC Engineer.

That's my only input. lol. When modding gets that advanced, I hope to god someone gives the Spec Ops or someone the A4, it's so badass looking in real life.

Well you need modellers to make new models, and im kinda busy with my coding for a major mod production group at the moment, ill see if i can get someone over there to make one, but i highly doubt they will just for me >.<
