Depends on what kit i feel like playing. Sharqi is a snipers heaven. Karkand is good for Assualting it around with the G3 (which is why it's such a fun map). All non-city maps are an AT's paradise. Not much fun playing on a country map with less than 50 people in it though.

Wake island is the best chinese map as you really get to use those AK47's nicely. It's probably the only map where every kit is actually totally usefull. Up there with Strike and Sharqi in terms of how fun it is too.

If there were some Chinese Beijing shootout city maps then those K's would be really nice to use. Easily my favorite assualt rifle too bad it's useless on the big open maps.

There aren't really any bad maps. Only thing on country maps is that they are abit too vehicle dependant and that they don't contain enough vehicles (for a vehicle dependant map you should expect a decent amount of vehicles but the numbers are weak and provide only fun for those in vehicles)

Im a big fan of all the maps myself but i have to say to the thread starter try driving a Jeep/Fav instead of the buggie going round a corner sideways and running someone over at the same time Rulez.

I don't like Karkand
It might be the support guy's or medic's dream but as a sniper I don't like it as much since the PKM became a full auto sniper rifle (whoever needs a cheat for that??!?)
On the other hand I find Sharqi to be better, more hiding spots on the ground, and less alleyways.
It's my favorite map, along with mashtuur and dragon valley

wow u think operation cleansweep is horrible? It's my fav, mostly cause I can bomb the shiite out of MECs with the F-15

Exactly why it sucks. One person having fun at the expense of many others.

I think BF2 updates and future patches should include more city maps. It seems everyone likes those maps! They are really intense since it's all about close-ranged combat, there's tons of sniper spots, and great vehicule action.

Make us some new city maps DICE!

Nah, instead they'll release stuff like Wake and EF. Why cater to the demands of your fanbase and release maps akin to the most popular ones when you can release vast open expanses full of vehicles!

Makes sense to me.

Hell no, nothing better than being sneaky in the woods, coming up behind some pesky fools and stab them in the back.
Best infantry map IMO, especially because it's not whored to death.

Are you kidding... An infantryman can't walk 10 yards without being run over or shot by an APC. Stalemate is the worst map out there.

It would really be nice if you could cordon (sp?) off certain parts of the larger maps for a battle. Has anyone just been out in the middle of nowhere or just driving along on the larger maps and thought... holy crap! this would be an awesome place for a firefight. Some of the best examples are the little village by the US airfield on Oilfields and the broken pipes by the MEC airfield on Kubra.

Most of the larger maps suck majorly if you dont have good teamwork on your side, but if you have some teamwork going, almost all the maps are really extremely fun. Stalemate and Dalian plant are the only two maps I really hate to play.
