I'm sorry if you guys arn't seeing several of the images - I can't at least. These images I guess are purged since they are old.

Some days I can see most of the pictures, some days I hardly see any...

If you've played on Alaska Gamers, any of the Canadian servers, Nvidia, or Rubber Duck, you've probably had me as a commander at one time or another. I've experienced what I think are mixed reviews on using VOIP.

    Voice Over IP :)
After each scan, I tend to verbally identify all the CP's that are open and available for the taking. I also identify by general location, where the largest groupings of the enemy are sometimes what general direction they are heading. After the scan has faded, I use the "right click" spot to highlight opponents that were in "key" positions, but outside where I placed the UAV.

My using the VOIP right after the scan, and then right click spotting when the scan has faded (w the associated "Enemy Spotted!"), I think I'm using up a majority of the average player's audio capacity. Many players have complimented me for this, while an equal number are annoyed by this (I'm clogging the audio).

    Vehicles and Supply
I also use my mic to tell all the SLs when a truck or crate is available. I do this rather than use the command function as it's quicker and still gets the message across.

    Key CP :yay:
When a CP with enemy command assets fall to our team, I will use VOIP to direct the SLs to respawn there to take out the assets and/or take advantage of new vehicles (copters, AC, tanks, APCs etc.). You'd be surprised how often the TV Station falls to MEC on Sharqui and no one spawns there to take the Tank, the Chopper, or blows up the US assets.

    Enemy Commander
Lastly, when I am able to identify the exact position of the enemy commander (white dot spot), I will manually spot him and verbally announce his position so that any SL in the area can eliminate (knife) him.

All too often, as a player (Squad Leader), I'll go the whole game and never hear a word from the Commander... comments?

    I'm starting to hate imageshack...

One day this guide displays all the pictures while the next only few >: (
As for the pictures, I plan to play as commander tomorrow on BF2, college applications, winter vacation homeworks, sleep, and a hint of procrastination has been occupying my little free time.

    Instinct buddy... puuuure instinct.

Other than that, if you've been a decent enough commander, you would have been following your squads movements, and know that after they've met some action, they're bound to need either repairs, re-supply, or healing.

If any of my squads accomplish an objective I set (as their commander), I always try to ensure I have a supply drop ready to sustain them for their next objective I assign for them.

Something I learnt today; if you can get the ball rolling with your team, and command them effectively enough to enable them a foothold on the map, they then look to you a lot more, and really begin to follow your mostly-every command. I played as commander several times today, and they wanted to reinstate me as commander each round. Me doing what I do- supported the team and tried to coordinate them as best I could, pre-empting enemy movement with arty strikes, supplying isolated units with vehicles, indicating objective points with the radio commands and UAV.

We started off losing pretty badly- everyone was going in seperate directions, doing their own things as if it was counter-strike (non-clan CS of course),people just hovering around CPs instead of capturing them for some odd reason... or people just mindlessly running into a CP swarming with enemies, hoping to kill them all as if they were Rambo.

A round or 2 later (of the mindless lone-wolfing and poor-play), I built such a bond with the squads I was commanding, they would be as sure to recieve anything they ask of me, as I would be certain that they'd help me achieve any objective I set for them.

The greatest moment was when I said (in caps, because as commander, I need to be heard) "JOIN SQUADS/CREATE SQUADS", and soon enough- every bloody squad slot was occupied, where I started out commanding only 2 squads. At that point... I could only focus on the squads the had 4 members or more (to which there was 4 of those squads, which proved hard to manage especially when some squad leaders die and end up spawning too far away from their squad), the rest obviously created their squad out of 'fashion'.

It seemed the team morale got so good, they could conquer the map even without the commander's help; and thats what happened- I didn't have to say a word, they were already rapidly moving from point to point, capturing what they can, and eliminating every resistance they encounter; and everytime they are met with overwhelming resistance? the next 2-3 squads that were en-route to the objective point arrive in time to support them and finish off the enemy.

It had been the best few rounds I had ever played as commander.

I asked this elsewhere with no response, but does anyone know how to cancel a command you have given, and/or remove the map indicator?

I hate giving an "attack here", and then the damn things sticks around long after the job is done, unless I give another order.

Alright, I've been slacking off, especially with the pictures, I PROMISE things will be looking cleaner shortly after new years.

    Things to do:

    Post screenshot of:

    where you apply/mutiny/resign commander
    actual UAV model
    actual Vehicle model being dropped
    squad leader request

Update of what vehicles will drop in each map
Possibly add in commander's commo rose.

I have no idea why many of these screenshots disappear.
