ah yes i remember their "original thoughts" it was called Battlfield 1942. Dont think theres been any sinse lol. Who knows its about time they made us pay for another patch, i mean booster pack, maybe we will see jets in there.

Disregard Hotlips ROK recruiting post for CF2142. Why are certain individuals worried about the legality of the mod? Just play the mod (jets along with more vehicles you can shake a stick at) and have fun (join Hell Frost to have even more fun-oops-sorry).

Thats right disregard my post to join the ROK and join the other side the Hell Frost if you wish, but if you want fun and make friends as well be on the winning team from camp 1 then ROK is the place to be where we are as solid and strong as ROK.

Its not about ranking, its about making paid-for content available for free.
Like porting the BF2 maps to BF2142, so nobody needs to buy BF2.

look at desert combat....they made a great and probb the greatest mod in the BF series,and bought them.....
Mods are a continual part of gameing weather people like it or not and if a game is modded,more people buy the game just to play them.

It seems that because of all the mods that was released in the BF2 episode that the addons/expansion packs wasnt such a great seller that EA thought it would have been,look at the current game..BF2142 how many mods are out for this and how far can they go with what they have to work with.....no modding tools makes things even harder for these guys to come out with something that is FREE and hence the extra addons that EA do and extract more of your money out of you...but hey i see it on a daily basis im sick of this im sick of that scenario but people still buy them and moan even more....now they are comming out with more contradictions with what you can and cant do with regards to modding...

BF3.what will that bring i wonder......even less maps?? no modding at all under the EULA??i hope that someone from DICE/EA does read these msgs on this forum and understand that yes even though there is a percentage that are die hards there is also a percentage that are sick of the way they are being treated....they bring out FREE mods to the community....hence they HAVE TO BUY the game before they can play the mod...they should be supporting the modding community not deniying it...

Anyone whos looked at the content of 2142 KNOW it is littered with BF2 content that they themselves have left in.

EA should let us mod how ever we want, And we'll call it even for Euro forces and Armored Assault ( That was money well spent ) And even Northern Strike, it was only 3 new levels, C'mon:thatsbad:

Now that the Canadian dollar is on par with the States you would think they would lower the price of the game, but they won't, So screw EA.

hugh why shud we actually care about northen strike things now, only things that came with the patch are weapons, vehicles, sounds and some of the vegitation i believe

I know, all the NS vehicles were released in patch 1.2 weren't they? I was able to put a Goliath and a Hachi in game weeks before NS came out.

There are 24 servers world wide that playes this mod. We play on saturdays in our tournament if you want to join that.

The public servers have been quiet for a bit now, and the current public release doesn't contain all the new cool stuff. But like I says, the new version containing Jets, new maps, and all that good stuff should be enough to fill those servers back up outside the tournament!

Until then if you're looking for people to play with have a go in joining conflict2142.com
