Actually its very easy, the problem is knowing how to do it(the requirements). 25 air transport hours later and several hours on google, I finally figured it out. But I think its the honorable thing to do is share what I found with everyone.

You want complicated try getting the anti air gold badge(non stat padded) or the war college ribbon.

By the way, if this guide helps anyone, please take a screen shot of your troop transport pin and post it, I would like to know my little help guide benifited someone.

Yeah, the "dive bomb" tactic works remarkably well for pod delivery- actually a lot safer for the pod-ees, too, than the average pilot trying to land under the AA. I'm still working towards the 25 hours, though. I tend to flare a bit to give the special kids time to realize it's time to say bye bye. On occasion I die before getting dive speed back up and escaping, but not too often.

Yeah ... you're right, that's the only way to avoid the AA guns, but to my knowledge you can't earn the Troop Transporter Pin by doing it.

anyone who has more than 10 of these pins gotta be ones who took advantage of the exploit in the early days. this is one of the hardest of all pins to get. either that or you are a seriously dedicated and patient transport pilot going solely for titan drops. maybe i'll try to get more of these pins one day.

I earned my first one on 9/25/07, I had to have 25 hours in a transport and 50 hours in an air vehicle to get my gold air badge, air transport ribbon and air transport medal, why waste the time? By the way, every one that ever flys with me while I'm flying the transport until the sheilds go down, says I'm the best transport pilot they have ever flown with. Personally I think I'm one of the better ones, not the best though. Here's how many I have eraned below as of today.

You mean a retarded duck on qualudes? I don't think you need much more skill than that in the Titan AA guns.

                  LMAO

Actually I have been spending a fair bit of time in the transport lately to get to the 25 hour mark, and you'd be amazed how few titan AA gunners look *up.* Everyone is so used to the morons who fly right across from titan to titan right near the horizon altitude, basically. Get above the fog before diving in, as described, and you die very very rarely on the inbound trip. As I mentioned, if I flare to give the podders more time I sometimes die before I can get speed back and dive below the AA's arc. But if you have podders who are on the ball and you follow the dive profile described by the OP, your chances of survival are actually quite good.

The most annoying thing is the passengers who spam "Move it!" at you while you are climbing back up for another run. I've even had a moron start a kick vote while I was climbing because he thought I wasn't taking him to the titan...

I just had a *brilliant* idea! DICE needs to install an eject button for the transport pilot to push for each gunner seat. Someone starts spamming "Move it/Forward/etc" just press their eject button and force pod them somewhere. Maybe in the loooooong, empty expanse of nowhere on Shuhia Taiba.

                      ROFL!

I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THAT!

Better yet, in a out of bounds for ground troops/vehicle where they have 16 seconds to get back in bounds or be punished!

Thanks for sharing and making a great guide. It's going to be a year and i still don't have one of these stupid pins. I tried to drop off ppl a few hrs ago but no one would spawn on my transporter, and when they did, i failed to deliver.

What's the quickest way to gain altitude? I tip the nose up for a while but i don't go anywhere except backwards a little, i don't want to make my passengers impatient

Unfortunately the air transports are flippin' pigs, at least in terms of climb rate (and most traditional maneuvers. The only thing that save's 'em is you can do some funky backslide -> side-slip maneuvers that will often lose a mediocre or worse gunship pilot. A good pilot will still find you pretty quick and seal the deal unless you have a good door-gunner or SAAW-user on-board) So yeah, you nose up a little and hope for fighter cover.
