Detailed instructions on how to get the Troop Transport pin/Titan drops

I got the transport air ribbon prematurely for some odd reason. I still need about 7 hrs more to get to 25 in order to qualify for the medal. I'm having fun getting these pins that seemed so impossible before. It helps my team alot always having a spawn point near the titan.

I already got my first tard talking crap. He said "We got a moron driving a transporter in the middle of nowhere for some reason" So i kindly replied "It's to make dropoffs you JACKASS" "If you don't like it don't spawn on me again" :)

I got my air trasnport ribbon prematurely as well(16 hrs), but I didn't mention it cuz I wasn't sure if it was a glitch/error. But the medal did take 25 hours.

As far as idiots(noobs), I got that alot too, inculding kick votes, one time a succesful kick vote while I was flying with a full load, and they all died. I came back in and explained they could thank the guy that started the kick vote for that, so they kicked him.

Just remember that if the enemy has a good titan defense, your the only way they are going to get on the enemy titan.

I noticed you didn't take any damage, did you die anytimes or did the AA guns even try to shoot you down?

That's funny :laugh: I always type what i am doing now. But i'm not sure if it's a good idea because if someone team switches they will know what's up. I just type something like "I'm ready to make drop offs" As soon as the shields go down. Some rounds are busier than others.

On that round i died once by gunship and that was about it. No AA guns were shooting at me. Sometimes i have luck with that, other times i don't. Right now i just got 2 more pins, ocassionaly the gunship would see me after diving in for the dropoffs, but after that he was out of there.

Yesterday i got hit by the AA guns and it drained me to about 40% on the first drop off, but went on to get 2 pins with that health till the end of the round. I almost got a third one but fell about 1 or 2 short

anyone who has more than 10 of these pins gotta be ones who took advantage of the exploit in the early days.

Does anybody know exactly when this exploit was fixed?

Just looked it up on the web and came across a site that says the troop transport glitch was fixed with patch 1.05 which was released on 15/11/2006

Well in that case you did amazingly well to get so many ezekiel.

Although they are quite easy to get once you know how to do it.

its on the homepage, it is one of the only sites that tells you when you type in troop transport pin fix it brings that up, and seen as though i wanted to know what patch fixed it and it said i checked it.

I used to always play Titan when i got it, even though titan is crap, but wanted to get all my pins/badges attached to it, but yea as you say they ain't that hard really

I just did a little research into the release date of the patch 1.05 that fixed this exploit and on 3 different sites it gives the release date as 21st november 2006. That's a full 6 days difference from the date you found.

Weird.

I did a search by typing in this...

Quemical, I'm glad it worked for you now get the rest of the transport medals and ribbon and you never have to worry about them!

What server are you doing this on? The places I've been playing lately it seems like there's always a squad leader putting a beacon down that the defenders don't clean off, and the pod-ee's dry up after the first drop or two. But, I also am not that persistent about doing the drop thing, either.

I'm getting close to the magic 25 hour point, though, so if you see me flying a transport around, spawn in and pod!

I have earned mine on Cains & Bro titan servers, the sqaud beacons can be destroyed on those severs, Merlincats they can't be. Maybe we should all team up and help each other, only when you get to the 25 hour mark though, I would be happy to help since I have mine now.

If you do add me to your buddy list as "Renuzit" and be sure you put a message that says "troop transport ribbon help" otherwise I might ignore it. And I will only help if you have 25 hours. I encourage all others as well. But if we're on opposite teams, beware, I need 30 AA kills still(the real reason I wrote the post, muhahahaha!), and I'm really good with titan AA, and I know the stradegy, LOL.
