look, the problem is that DICE decided to give .5 pts for EMPing things. they obviously coded it so that everytime EMP hit anything on the other team that has a hitbox (anything that triggers the hit indicator), then it triggers .5 pts. they did not purposely code it so that EMPing the assets gives .5 pts, it's just that the commander assets have hitboxes because it's an destructable object. DICE is not stupid to purposely program to allow pointless statpadding of EMPing assets, but rather lazy to remove this exploit after deciding to give points for EMPing. understand???????

forgive me your right i didnt understand??????? you must be well in with dice to be privvy with what they did or did not code into the game and for what reasons... my mistake i will think twice before voice an opinion.

Actualy Psym still has a point. Sounds like Crosland gave him a hard time on the xfire chat so its not much to ask him to apologise JUST for that. he could even do it in a PM.

I don't think Psym would have bothered getting included in the whole debate thing if it was not for that fateful xfire chat.

Can Crosland and Psym settle this in PM's without having to divulge to everyone the outcome?

If Ezekiel and me can come to some mutual agreement for Timeless to lift the ban and welcome Zek back on our servers I am sure Cros and Psym can stop this rift on TBF2142 ??

Erm, someone stated before the drama that EMPing the assets doesn't disable them. Is that correct? I had assumed that people were EMPing them to disable them. But, if nothing happens other than points get added to their score that changes everything for me. I would take it as padding vs. wasting time...

Ezekial means well by discussing the authority of Psym to accuse his friends but at the end of the day he is juct another "victim" in a debate between Crosland and Psym. Sounds like the hurt goes well back between them so there is obviously going to be no public reconsiliation.

By the way. this thread was dead ages ago. EA says theres grey areas. I say there are grey areas. Those that don't care. exploit it, dont know say "whatever live and let live". There is NEVER going to be an answer.

As Ezekial says and I have always stated. I believe he over used EMPS to unnaturely gain a medal over those that deserved them more. This is a Timeless server ideology and Ezekial and Timeless have rached agreement and everyone is happy. Wheatever Psi and whoever think its an issue thats long resolved. There is NO black and white answer. Always read and understand the server rules. Make peace with the admins if you get an issue and always try to understand the other sides point of view. Respect ezekial for doing that in this instance with Timeless please.

It is clear there is some clear evidence that people used the titan drop pin glitch to gain a few points ( several thounsand in career points of 200,000 non withstanding)

BUT BUT BUT

How many of the old timers gained points by throwing ammo boxes ontop of the titan gun consoles in the original days of the game? How many were caught and reset for that? Not one. Yes MANY MANY maybe 50% of the original generals ganied a LOT of points that way.

I love the emps I just hit the walker wth 1 then move close and throw the other as the first wears off then drop ammo box at feet of walker and throw a third then shoot vent for like 3 seconds then throw a fourth then shoot then throw.....its just pwnag3.

Sorry to bring up a dead topic, but There's a way you can EMP infantry and score a lot of points. I mean, I did it a couple times to disable certain things, but I'm just wondering if it's legit. EMPing infantry that is.

People say it is a grey subject but yea it is fine, they have implemented into the game, and you are doint the team a favour, it's like bunnyhopping throwing RDX and detonating at your own feet on a FF=OFF server it is ok, but cheap.
