LOL yup he hates getting tagged.

    Nice one.

Seems someone doesnt understand mild sarcasm.

I think there is nothing new to say about the emp greandes. Psi brought an official word from EA which agrees with both points of view so its still as much a grey area as it always has been.

Summarising .....It will probably be individual servers that have different ideas and thoughts on the subject.

Seems to me that nearly everyone has had a change of mind about emping commander assets on this forum since one of their own has been caught lol, this was such a taboo subject the other week but now its all over the place... personally I would have like to know weather it was padding or not, I had arugments for both sides but the thought of it not being padding was greater as the point value to the action was inplace by dice. The EMPing to gain those few extra points toward the end of the round to gain gold is no difference to reviving any dead around you, shooting any enemy near you repairing titan gun just before the titan blows and theres no one in them... BUT, as for sitting spamming emps all round at the commanders assets goes beyond normal gameplay and I think then its up to the admins to use their powers wisley...

Raidyr. its seems virtualy impossible for you to have an adult conversation/disscusion without insulting people.. you must have had an terrible childhood lol

seriously...this EMP argument is pretty stupid.

anyone with any sense would see that:

EMP commander assets = stat pad
EMP enemy soldiers/vehicles = not stat pad

there's a big difference EMPing something during the heat of a battle and EMPing some stationary object continously. if you can't see the difference, then forget the argument because it's going to go nowhere.

end of discussion. stop making excuses for this BS...

What else am I going to do? ***** about abusive admins all day? Cry because someone took my tank that I rightfully deserved? Complain about EA?

Seriously, if people (like me) did not exist here, these forums would be dead. not trying to make myself out to be important, other people already do that, but its the truth. Without conflict, a forum will not stand for too long.

Dunno if I can agree with that 100%, really.

If a support guy with EMP 'nades kitted finds himself in the area of the enemy assets and the commander has been calling for somebody to take them out of the enemy's bag of tricks... what's he going to do? He's got nothing else that will do the job. Plop down a supply box and start chucking until a recon gets there to add some RDX and make the solution more permanent.

Of course, personally I'd find that about as fun as washing windows, but... it's a game mechanic that's already in place has a true tactical payoff, so how wrong can it be?

Thats the thing, the person was blamed for doing assets. Even though the EA has gray areas you can't have gray area rules. Makes it to confusing, they need to be black/white rules. But you can't limit kit restrictions cause that is clearly defined in the ROC.

are you freaking kidding me? why the hell would the commander ask a support guy to take out the "enemy's bag of tricks"? he should get back to fighting, because that's recon's job. who in their right mind would want to plop down a ammo box and EMP assets unless it was going to give you insane amount of points? taking them out is clearly a job of recon, it's really stupid that you think a support guy EMPing them is something productive and helpful instead of being out in the battlefield fighting and resupplying his teammates.

i'm not gonna argue with people with such stupid logic anymore. your example makes no sense and has 0% of happening as you put it in an actual game. if you truly think a support guy EMPs commander assets for the benefit of the team, waiting for that a recon guy to come and blow it up (he may never come, which means its more excuse for one to be padding continuously), LETS JUST AGREE TO DISAGREE because we ain't getting anywhere with this dumb argument.

if this job is limited to just the recon then why did dice incorprate the support guys to do the job as well?

What job? EMPing commander assets has no effect on the operation of the asset at all.

look, the problem is that DICE decided to give .5 pts for EMPing things. they obviously coded it so that everytime EMP hit anything on the other team that has a hitbox (anything that triggers the hit indicator), then it triggers .5 pts. they did not purposely code it so that EMPing the assets gives .5 pts, it's just that the commander assets have hitboxes because it's an destructable object. DICE is not stupid to purposely program to allow pointless statpadding of EMPing assets, but rather lazy to remove this exploit after deciding to give points for EMPing. understand???????

Yep. Not stupid, just lazy, like 90% of the bugs in the BF series.
