Upstream! Holy f***. The thing that's bothering me more though is you need to have a vid card with SM 3.0?!

I don't think my 7600GT has Shader Model 3.

My (soon ex card) 7600 GS has SM 3.0... So im pretty sure that GT has it too...

I would say no.
Not unless you want to change from PC games to console games, they are still very different.

And then you need to add a few extras to the price, like 1-3 extra controllers, Xbox live subscription, wireless adapter, extra cables for better video etc.

The games are usually also more expensive than those for the PC.

I did some searching, and found 1000W PSU for 190€(that's 268 USD)... Should be enough for the 8800 series..

Some ppl choose console over PC just because the starting prize for good/really good PC is in most cases sky high...

And they don't want to be upgrading all the time, and don't want to be thinkin what is causing this problem...

But im still plannin to buy that PS3 when Europe/Finland get's the prize cut what USA got...

I checked from this one search page and it showed 659€(932 USD). This package includes 2 games and 2 joysticks atleast.

In my local gamestore there is PS3 for 599€(847 USD). And it only has one joystick, no games but 60Gb hard drive.

Here in Finland you basically need to look from the right places..

Wow it's even cheaper here. Around 650USD. I prefer the 360. The PS3 is overrated IMO.

Playstation has always been my choice. You could say that im Sony fanboy... :laugh:

And i don't think PS3 is overrated, i think that it takes while until gamemakers learns how to use all it's resourses, and then it can shine(and whoop microsofts a$$)...

All 7xxx and up have shader model 3. And x1xxx and upward for ATI.

The 512 upload seems rather steep. I recently upped my connection from 386kbs to 1 mbs so it's no problem, but I wonder to what they use that bandwidth...
