I've seen a few posts requarding the EA ToS, and something stuck out at me.

You will violate the Terms of Service if you (or others using your Account) do any of the following:

• Post, transmit, promote, or distribute Content that is illegal

Everyone is focusing on the racist remark (not defending it, by NO means) but this poses another question.

What about drug use references I have noticed? I've seen in game chats talking about "going to hit the blunt" and other things, seems to me this would also violate the above rule. There are even clans that are based on illegal drug use.

I'm just baffeled that people have taken this so personally, but posts, transmission and promotion of other illegal activities go overlooked.

I have seen this question before, and the answer is the same this time.

Mozikillah did not get our attention because he insulted some french guy on a forum we never visit.
Like you imply, that happens hundreds of times each day.

What got our attention was that he posted here complaining, even though he clearly and repeatedly had broken the rules.

It's not personal, just a pet peeve for a lot of us that read lots of posts here.

A person does stupid stuff and then complains about it here. Usually this is a "so and so server sucks and kicked/banned me for breaking their rules that I didn't agree with". This time it was "EA banned me for breaking their rules that I didn't agree with". Both types of threads generally get the same reaction here in my experience.

As for the drug stuff, you bring up a good point. I'm guessing that it would take some upset mother getting Jack Thompson and the rest of the PTA pissed off at the references to drugs and complaining LOUDLY to EA before action would be taken. It's probably there more or less to cover EA's a** so in the event of a lawsuit or pissed off parents EA can say "we took a strong stance against it and they discussed the illegal whatever anyways, so it's not our fault".
