Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Sure, but they would need to upgrade the Zeller recoil by a tiny amount.
E.g. throwing the shooter 10m back if standing, and 5m if prone.
I like it!
Well, I hadn't really thought about throwing the shooter back, but I suppose that'd make sense.
They would need a little more kick to the reticle after firing though I agree....unless there's some mumbo jumbo futuristic tech in that muzzle break.....maybe a recoil compensater like the LMG's?

On my favorite Science program (MythBusters) they took a look at what happened when a body was hit by a bullet.
A pigs body hit by a slug from a shotgun still dropped like a stone.
A non-explosive round quite simply doesn't carry the energy required to move a body.

Would it really matter, with the single-shot philosophy of the snipers?
Even if the scope turned completely black for 2 seconds, the bullet would still be on its way.

True, but I thought you liked my idea.
Off topic:That makes me wonder if someone would go flying if they were hit be a railgun IRL, like what happens when you get rorched.......

Right again, but that would be the exact opposite of what this thread is trying to achive.....my idea is not exactly a buff (unless you're smart about it), but having the scope turn black is sorta a nerf....unless......
You could put that and my "zeller push" idea in, saying that the zeller has electronics housed inside similar to railgun technology (since railguns DO push you when you get shot), only on a much smaller scale. The mumbo jumbo mechanisms accelerate the bullet to speeds that can push victims, but at the cost of ceasing all functions, including the scope (which I assume the scopes in 2142 are all electronic, since they have range-finders in them), for 2 seconds or so.
I find the idea of snipers being kicked of towers by their own rifles very appealing, but I am not sure that it would improve the game

I am not a ballistics expert, but I would think not.
A small, very high speed projective would probably pass right trough the target without transferring much energy.
And a larger projectile would turn the target into a red mist.

You are still dealing with Newtons laws, even though you are using a railgun.
If the projectile is fired with enough force to knock a man back, then the recoil must be at least equal to that force.
But that is real world physics, this game appears to have some sort of anti-gravity, so it must be possible to use that technology to counter recoil.
However instead of simply being pushed back, I hope we will see some awesome ragdoll effects.

Im not sure if it was the actual gun what hit him or was it the shell...
But is still ROFLLMAO'ed to this...
I remember that one too
As far as I know an artillery piece like that doesn't eject the spent shells automatically, so that was the barrel that hit him.
No more kids for you!

I think it was the shell... Since they didn't have the gun 'closed' as it should be... You can see in the video he didn't push the actual ammunation far enough, and when he took it out and, pushed it again, it fired..
But anyways, that would be really infortunate(spelling??) accident.
Wow, just wow. Oh, that still does't give you any reason to use it, because what I'm thinking of what you meant, when you said: "learn to use it", is to learn to aim, to the head, to get instant kills. No? Now, how could such a perk possibly make Zeller stand out from the stock rifles? The fact is, that it doesn't, and it's ability to destroy RDX, APM's and MM's is nonexistent, in practice.
Making Zeller kill instanty, permanently upon headshot is overpowered. Instead, headshot could reduce revival time with half, so once you get headshotted by zeller, you only get 5 seconds until death, instead of full ten. Zeller could aso be able to penetrate walls, corners, or some other light cover.

I know that i destroy APM's and RDX almost every round... And destroy motion mines several times during rounds...
Penetrating ammo?? I really don't think that is gonna happen... What would it do to the game if you are able to shoot through walls with Zeller? Everyone would play as sniper. And then ppl would start asking why it doesn't do any damage to APC? Since i can shoot through walls, why i can't shoot the driver of the APC? Or the panels from Goliath...
If the Zeller buff is really must.. I see sound reducion or 1-2 bullets more to clip more likely than wall piercing rounds, explosive/gas darts, trace/flair rounds or any other kinda major change...
You want to shoot through walls? Wait until CoD4 or Bad company...
About the sound... I bet that the enemy on the other end of the scope doesn't hear sound... I have a feeling it goes like this... *Bunnyhop* *bunnyhop* *drop dead* *wtf just happend???*
