Banning the SAAW and gunship truces

Because they claimed they "dealt" with admin abuse plus acted like not caring when I got in a SAAWed them like there was no tomorrow.

A buddy claimed via xfire that he was kicked by cK00 for taking the PAC gunship and I was in their server as EU at that very moment and he is not the whining kind of player...

As Vreki mentions if this was a server rule its a violation of the RoC and should be reported to EA Customer Services.

We didn't fix the SAAW so that touchy admins could ban its use. :)

The only solution is to...mess it up again.

The server name was just '24/7 Suez'. Im pretty certain it didnt say Rip and I dont remember seeing any Rip tagged soldiers on there.


I didnt take the IP address or any other details and since I have been banned it doesnt show up in my server lists..... is this normal btw?

The admins and pilots working under a truce were TAU Ragestorm and Flanker1121. Ragestorm confirmed later on via a message that my mate had been banned for SAAW'ing and I had been banned for asking why they had banned him.

No need for a huge inquest here , I just wondered what peoples opinions were on the banning of SAAW's and gunship truces.

Personally I think people who need to make up rules on a server just to make themselves look better than they are are pretty sad and that servers like this should lose their ranked status and the admins be wiped back to zero.

Shame we got banned too as they were easy pickings for our Shepherd.

This server has a no SAAW rule on it, i've been kicked 2/3 times because of using the SAAW they seem to think that using the SAAW makes the server lag :/

As I can't fly for toffee, I'd need a server that had a gunship truce, banned the SAAW, AA guns, trees, buildings, the ground, tanks, walkers and anything else that could shoot me down, crash into me (the ground is always doing that). It would probably be as interesting as watching paint dry.
As a regular SAAW, who takes great pleasure in knocking flyboys out of the sky (seldom happens but when it does ), I'd get the screenshots and report them. Then find another server.

You know the padders would get their arses handed to them on a regular server.

Heh funny since I thought the SAAW was how you take down a gunship =P at least thats what I pull out when I notice someone is actually using the gunship for something other than a personal taxi to bail out of taking anyone else aboard to an early grave. Next time I will try using my pistol. The really good gunship pilots know how to avoid the SAAW as well though so if they are crying about it tell them to learn to fly low and fast.

you know... some people are better at some things in-game. It doesn't mean someone is "hacking" the game just because they kill you a lot. Why must people instantly assume.. "oh look they are killing me too much so they must be hacking". It is not like everyone in the world hacks, knows how to hack, wants to hack, or CAN hack.
