Banning the SAAW and gunship truces

Surely this is a form of stat padding?

Played on a server against a gunship pilot admin with a mate and we wondered why the gunships pilots on both sides were 60 kills for few if any deaths.

Turns out that they had called a truce and were happily owning everything on the ground without engaging each other.

We shot the admin down a few times with the shepherd before an air collission led to a warning for ramming.

Anyway we both picked up SAAWs and went hunting for the enemy gunship and as soon as my mate shot him down he flew in to a RAGE, STORMed at us over the chat channel and banned us for using the SAAW.

Shame really as he seemed a fair pilot but padding his way up the ladder like this is pretty sad dont you think?

It's pretty sad, but what do you want with these kiddy admins running all these servers.. just stay away and starve them of targets.. would only hope the rest of people would too.

If the server rules / admin somehow are enforcing it, then it would be a clear breach of the ROC.
But if it as agreement between 2 individual players then it is just lame.

Banning the use of the SAAW however is a breach of the ROC.

Like Raptor said, just leave the server. Maybe after a few more accidental rammings

Brings back memories of the BSF clan on BF2 days. They used to have people on both sides in the jets. ALL four, 2 per side, and never once tried to shoot each other down.

Bail the server. Find another.

As Vreki mentions if this was a server rule its a violation of the RoC and should be reported to EA Customer Services.

We didn't fix the SAAW so that touchy admins could ban its use. :)

Havent seen you post here in a while - interesting. So off track, anything else you would like to share? Say... like patch progress or what you are fixing OR can you not say since it isnt an official press release?

He isnt a skilled pilot if he isnt willing to go up against another gunship or the SAAW, hell if i was the one in the Talon id mow the other and say to hell with this so called "Truce"

Its not uncommon for even random pilots to ignore eachother.. kind of like a silent truce so that they can farm ground targets without being bothered.
