We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
I hate cheaters and hackers... At least we have people around willing to hunt down these people and try to save a game from losers who want to get points the hard way (why hack when you could just do it for god's sake).
I saw just once the arty trick and it was very annoying.
People say there lots of cheatear and I play a lot and never found one that I was absolutely certain that cheated.
I think people must be aware of cheating, but this cannot overule their good sense, I played a lot in an infantary server that has good admins and some good players, a really nice place to play, after a good game they banned me from the server.
I´ve contacted one of them using the buddy list and he said I probably was banned because the admin thought that I was cheating.
He said he was looking at it and see the reason, and if found not guilty
they would unban me.
I really don´t know what will happen, but maybe I won´t play again on that server just because I played a really good game.
The server was from the clan =WWFC=, I would recomend play there if they showed a little more restraint with the ban thing.
if it is a hack it's a pretty stupid one;they are going to picked up quite quickly with zero deaths and no gun or helmet....rofl..seriously folks hackers mean our achievements on the field are even more spectacular!! I dont see why someone who hacks would spend months playing the game anyway?
is there any other way to track the person if his name isnt appearing?
Yes there is - that's actually how we managed to get his name.
Open up your xfire and go to the server list - take a screenhot of that. Then jump back to the game and take a screenshot of the ingame leaderboard. Compare the two screenies and see who's missing.

Seems I'm compelled to comment on this from time to time... give the guy some slack... not everybody has or can afford a rig to play this game with the graphics maxed out. Don't fool yourselves into thinking they don't already know this, and count your blessings.
I've got two boxes that run the game maxed out with no problems, and 3 others that will do well better than average. Apparently you guys also are blessed with at least one machine each that will, but show a shred of humility for Pete's sake and quit bagging on the folks who aren't in the same position. The implied e-peen comparisons are getting tiresome.

I've seen the same thing, only the guy still had his helmet and a weapon. At one point myself and 3 other guys in my squad ran into him and everybody dumped everything they had into his ***... he just took it all and proceeded to mow us all down with gleeful abandon with his Voss. Infuriating.
there are a lot of hackers in 2142... the only good thing is that while they're hacking... i get to bang their moms... lol

I have to chime in on your first paragraph.
Even i have a nice PC that can handle the Battlefield series, and i chose to play with lower setting for super smooth gameplay, whats the game if it looks beautiful and runs like ****?:shakehead:
not that this guy was or was not cheating/hacking, but:
beaware that there is a red tag glitch with this game. i see if very frequently. a teammate has a red name tag like the enemy. if you're on a FF-off server, you won't be able to kill your teammate. so it will look like you can't kill an enemy. this has been around since bf2.
beaware that in bf2, occasionally you could be revived and have no visable weapon in your hand to others. possibly, this could have carried over to 2142 as did many of the bugs/glitches.
just something to think about, and no... i'm not sticking up for this yahoo, esp. if his name wouldn't show on the scoreboard.

Agreed 110%. If it comes down to performance over looks in a game like 2142, I'll adjust for performance first. I'm just fortunate enough right now to have two rigs where I can have it all cranked to max and still have super smooth gameplay. But I haven't forgotten my younger days when I couldn't afford the stuff I can today, and it sucks to have your face rubbed in it like I see here every time somebody dares to post a screen that isn't set for totally maxed graphics.

well, I remember that... oddly, I haven't saw it yet on 2142... so I guessed it was fixed
