How hard would the following be for the developers?

I agree with all of these suggestions. They are all brilliant in their conception and would not affect game balance in any way. They would only serve to make a great game a little bit better. Which is why I am sure DICE will not do any of them.

you do realise that modding does take some coding right? actually alot.Originally posted by Roger Smith View PostQFE!!! i dont think they actually employ coders at this point, just modders.
stop complaining about this game really. the way ive noticed is that it doesnt mater what EA/DICE does, none of you are going to be happy. also those that make lil comments about dice/ea's intelligence and such. where's your game? show us your smarter then them. Also not to mention that they are smart enough to make multiple millions of dollars per year. where's your company? how much does it make?
its easy to put these fixes into words, but putting them into code and being sure it doesnt mess any existing code is MUCH MUCH harder.
before you pass judgement ever. go and and try to make your own game. then aftr your done with that, release it and then listen to everyone complain about your product.

"Do it better yourself" is not a valid argument when you paid someone to fix stuff. Would you accept that answer from a mechanic?

) The ability to spot mines would be good.
) The death screen automatically clears when you are revived.
) Maybe the ability to slap teammates who are ****ing around!

It all sounds great to me, hint hint DICE...Stop force spawning me when I am configuring my kit or spawn?
Not automatically look for servers when I navigate through the menu?
Make a separate, slightly larger, chat window?
Stop sentry guns from shooting trough the walls on the titan?
Force launch on the titan pods, like on the horizontal ones?
Have a list of reasons, or one you can type yourself, when initiating a vote?
Add “titan movement” to the list of options for the advanced server search?
Give the commander the ability to talk to more people on voip?
Have VoIP for the people in a vehicle?
Make larger/ smaller, titan maps for 48 and 16 players? (just give or take a silo and a couple of vehicles)
Make FF=Off not apply when damaging yourself?
Add "stop/ halt" to the comm rose
Allow us to chat when the match is over and extend the minimum time before the next round starts?
Give us the ability to spot railguns and AA-guns?

Works both ways. If the "mechanic" keeps screwing up then there will soon be a demand for another mechanic.Originally posted by Ghost 1800 View Postlol, supply and demand. Is there another mechanic around? Is there another game like battlefield?
Likewise if an otherwise great game is known to be horribly bugged, people will buy a slightly less great game which is known to be stable. Supply and demand.
Ontopic I think most of the features are quite doable, especially since similar functionality can already be found in the game.
But they are feature-requests, which are "extras" provided by the developer for a fee or free.
Currently they still seem to be working on the bugs/balancing, which I consider something that I have already paid for.
With a bit of luck we can see these features in the next BF game.

EXACTLY! This game needs a good competitor and that'll get em motivated (rooting for you DICE!)Originally posted by Vreki View PostWorks both ways. If the "mechanic" keeps screwing up then there will soon be a demand for another mechanic.

Tango - Everyone of those suggestions rock and most of them frustrate me also.
In reference to your chat window, I would love to see a more customizable GUI on the game. Coming from MOHAA, COD2 and BF2, I was amazed at how much you could customize the look and feel of your screen in World of Warcraft. You could make as many chat windows as you wanted in whatever size.

how much coding do you honestly think went into 2142?Originally posted by danutz1183 View Postyou do realise that modding does take some coding right? actually alot.
no true, i would be happy if they actually did fix thier games.Originally posted by danutz1183 View Poststop complaining about this game really. the way ive noticed is that it doesnt mater what EA/DICE does, none of you are going to be happy.
making computer games is not my business as of now. how is this relevent in any way.Originally posted by danutz1183 View Postalso those that make lil comments about dice/ea's intelligence and such. where's your game? show us your smarter then them. exactly, its hard, and its not being done, thus the Cynicism.Originally posted by danutz1183 View Postits easy to put these fixes into words, but putting them into code and being sure it doesnt mess any existing code is MUCH MUCH harder.
the people that make project reality, do not work for dice.Originally posted by Ghost 1800look at the Project reality mod and tell me what exactly you mean by that...
