whats pointless is that we are still buying and playing dice games when they dont properly design and code thier games. alot of the things brought up in this thread are legitamate concerns that imo should be fixed and shoulda been fixed a long time ago.

I would like to see you code a game better than DICE yourself, give them a break.Originally posted by Roger Smithwhats pointless is that we are still buying and playing dice games when they dont properly design and code thier games. alot of the things brought up in this thread are legitamate concerns that imo should be fixed and shoulda been fixed a long time ago.

Again, you say it's whining (it's not, it's just say what do you feel guilty for, not saying it should be changed) but then you whine about threads. If it's so bad, why'd you post in it?Originally posted by ALoserIsYouThe OP fails, stop whining.
So you're the one who's whining, now GTFO whiner.

thats not my job. for the amount of players this franchise brings, i think they pretty much owe it to use to iron out things like gameplay and bugs early on. For the most part BF2 is much more solid.Originally posted by rbevan59 View PostI would like to see you code a game better than DICE yourself, give them a break.

flight mechanics
small arms
map design (this is the big one)
team diversity and balance
and finally vehicle weapons
all of these things arent very solid at all in 2142, alot of work is needed for them to really shine as they did in bf2.

While I think BF2142 has wrinkles that could be ironed out, I also think that BF2's small arms paradigm has always been totally out of whack. Look at version 1.0, where LMGs and SMGs couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and sniper rifles couldn't snipe. Then they buffed all those weapons and added the G36E, and suddenly the M16 and AKs became the underdog weapons. And then there's the "brilliant" accuracy versus power spectrum.Originally posted by Roger Smith View Postsmall arms
BF2 may have had better map design, but I like how BF2142 doesn't make every map so damn huge. Dragon Valley had, what, 13 flags? 32-player Tunis has three capturable flags. That would have been unthinkable in BF2.map design (this is the big one)

I am not participating in this flame, nor would I or you appreciate it if it does, due to what I say.Originally posted by Roger Smith View Postmap design (this is the big one)

But I disagree, Balance + Maps, just doesn't fit on BF2, the jet are the ultimate superiority in the game.
Ok, maps like Karkand etc, which don't have jets are fine, but is Karkand balanced? (Nade spam, hard for USMC to get through etc).
A few guns in the game are also not balanced enough to actually enjoy the game.
I think you will get my drift.

Now? None.
Before the patches I felt bad using the LMGs. They had no shake at all giving me such simple kills. There was nothing easier then camp in Camp G spam some grenades and make swiss cheese out of a person who got through the grenade.
Sometimes I feel bad using the PK rockets since they are very simple to use but then I think grenades are equally as bad if not worse if used correctly.

The only weapons I feel bad using are any I just got a team kill with. I hate team killing even if it's accidental, and usually go out of my way to avoid it.
If I had to pick one, it would be the knife, oddly enough. That's only because a few days ago I was on a hill in Verdun overlooking an enemy silo. There was one guy so I decided to go for it. I watched him get run over by his own team mates in an FAV. When I got closer, he spawned pretty close to me. And another FAV went flying right by him, while he's standing there waving his arms and saying "I need a ride." He said it again. And the third time he started saying it, he was turning in my direction, when I knifed him mid sentence. I felt sorry for the poor guy cause his own team didn't stop to pick him, or he might have lived. It was actually kind of funny. But I still crouched over him and said sorry. Then proceeded to cap the silo. :)
