Why does the Baur have a full-auto mode?

crouch, zoom and burst... as with every other assault rifle...

i have 46% accuracy and 8k kills by using this method.

I find 2-round bursts to be reasonably effective against large profiles at medium range (~40 meters). It is rather hit-and-miss though.

If I'm knifing distance, I'll just strafe while going full auto.

But other than that I just burst fire at chest w/ scope and crouch.

I got real good w/ Baur but after I started aiming for the head w/ other weapons i found that more effective.

Now if the Baur was a one HS kill (or even a 1hs+1 body shot) then I would deff. use it more often. But for now I haven't been usin it lately.

Just because it has full auto doesn't mean you need to use it.

Last time I check the US learned this lesson the hard way in Vietnam with the full auto M16 and now we have 3 round burst. 3 round burst would rock with the Baur!

I four shot burst with the Baur just fine in close to further, and one burst or a burst plus another half burst usually get me the kill. The Baur burst fires just fine, it's just not basic to the function of the weapon like the other AR's.

Single-shot fast-click > other AR's. It's amazing.

You may not hit anything infront of you, but you know with 20 rounds fired off in on burst you'll hit just about everything around you, effectively marking your territory.

Any one remember the MG36 from BF2, full auto and 3 round burst. FTW!

Oh yeah, it does rock when doing that, but if someone pops out in front of you you might not have time to switch firing modes or hammer the LMB fast enough (although I guess it all depends on how fast you can click) for the kill. That's why I like to leave it on full auto unless I know I'm going to be picking on people at range. Four quick clicks to bring a guy down is very gratifying (not to mention conservative, ammo-wise), but that's not bursting, it's rapid single-shots. I loved the SKS Simonov in BF:V exactly for that reason, but at a lot of medium-range distances (I'd say between 30m-50m) you will get smeared by a full auto weapon *cough*Voss*cough* that can successfully burst at that range before you can single-click fast enough, but if you try a two-round burst the second bullet seems to just evapourate before it even leaves the barrel so you can't rely on that.

You guys don't always drag down slightly to compensate for recoil? Man, I thought that was something everyone learnt to do back when games first started introducing recoil.

I have to point down so much on full auto with the baur, that i almost run out of mouse pad. lol
