Thats true, i'll admit i was just p*ssed off at them. I don't usually use air vehicles, I mostly agree about the people who just hog the assets, unless its a really good pilot who is helping the team, I used to hate it on wake when half the usa team would just wait around on the boat for an aircraft instead of getting over and fighting. thats what I dislike.

on topic tho - it'd be decent if the first person to get in had the keys so no-one else could drive it, but you could leave them in if you wanted etc..

Although BF2142 has greatly improved on the teamplay points from BF2 I think they probably haven't gone far enough. I think the teamplay points for being in the vicinity of a squad member should be improved to really encourage you to stick together. I think lone wolf playing should be awarded less for each kill and flag capture too. I think there should be a 3 second delay after you have left a vehicle before a team member can get in your last seat, if you are an engineer and repairing.... Sure they should be able to occupy other seats but not yours.....There are lots of ways that could be improved on.....

Yes, that would be very nice.
Planetside has something similar where you could lock a vehicle to personal/squad/team (or something like that, its been a while)
But it was a bit different since the assets were personal, not team property.

In BF there would need to be a mechanism so the lock expired after a short while, to prevent "teamplayers" from locking the walker and running away.

After they get killed you usually get a "WTF! Why didn't you repair me?!"
Exceptionally enjoyable revenge tactic as well. Just be sure to do it right as they're heading into combat.:salute:

i too will drive away to repair, mainly when i'm solo.

but, if there is someone in the #2 seat... i'll usually type to him repeated until they respond "i'm going to repair us (name), cover me ok?"

and i won't repair until i get a reply. i just sit there and wait... and wait... and wait.

Everytime smeone does this to me I die alittle inside .

I regain life with my trusty pilum though :).

Anywas i lub the people who help me get repair points. They are a rare breed unfortunately.

It honestly depends what you drive. If I am driving an APC to kill tanks (sneak up on a tank EMP him, then get out and shoot the pilum up his ***)
most people will get in the second seat because of mere point spammage it produces. However if you have a walker it is ussually prepare your pilum .

Just a note I dont TK too much it is only when they do it to me reapeted times or leave me stranded :shakehead:

Sadly even getting away to repair isn't safe any more. I managed to capture the enemy transport from a silo on Suez and - after narrowly avoiding my own team attempting to destroy it - flew right out to the edges to repair the damage done to it. Some *CENSORED* team member spawned in while I was repairing it, got out, SAW that I was repairing it, got back in and flew away without getting repaired or picking me up.
Several minutes later who do I spy sitting in a tank heading across the bridge towards another one but my friend the transport thief. One quick Pilum shot, one shot from the enemy tank, BANG. No more him. Satisfying.
