So I play fairly exclusively as an Engineer. A lot of the time - and in what seems to be an unusual tactic these days - I spend actually defending and holding one of the more desirable silos on a given map.
Obviously given that the Engineer is fairly awful against infantry most of the time, and the fairly dangerous line of work in taking out repeated armour attacks, it's quite nice to have a tank or walker to sit in. I can take out whatever threat I have to, then hop out, repair anything that needs repairing, and get on with it. We hold the silo, the enemy keeps losing the use of their vehicles for a few minutes, it gives us a firm spawnpoint, gunship pilots get tired of being tankshot in the face... everyone on the team is a winner.
So what is distinctly not helpful or cool is when after beating back a fairly intense attack, you see me hopping out and repairing my tank or whatever I happen to be using, then decide to take it for yourself and drive off.
Or when you fly off in the transport leaving 4-5 people sitting on the Titan deck. IT IS NOT YOUR PERSONAL TRANSPORTATION.
This happens constantly and I have a deep personal hatred for anyone who wants to do it. If I am clearly using it and taking the time to repair it, might it not be possible that I'm NOT doing it so you can get in and leave me stuck by myself on foot? Is it not possible all those people you left sitting there might have BEEN USEFUL TO TAKE WITH YOU?
As such I'm declaring it pretty much open season on anyone who does this. It's extremely lame. I lost count of the amount of times in just the last two or three days I saw people e.g. spawn into a transport someone in the squad was using to cap a spawnpoint... then the instant it was capped they flew off leaving whoever the "original owner" was stranded. THINK before you grab a vehicle someone else was clearly still using you selfish morons out there. You people who fly off the Titan with just yourself in the transport also qualify.
Otherwise... I will now demonstrate why perhaps something needed repairs in the first place as I did last night with a single AVR shot.
Hopefully at least one or two people will start thinking a little more about their actions in future. Leaving team members stranded, whether myself or anyone else, is not cool.:shakehead:

Yeah, I was just telling you not to bother too much. And if you do bother, try playing on better servers with TP going on.
