OMG I'd best stop repairing all moving vehicles then just in case it's an exploit!

You need at least two engineers repairing the bird to avoid being shot down by AA. I tried on my own and couldn't repair as fast as we were losing health.

I think the Gunship rockets are fine, certainly a lot better than pre 1.25 it's quite amusing to watch your rockets circling the enemy bird several times before hitting!

People spamming nades in the corridors? Leave em to it and cap some silos!

I agree that RDX whores on FF Off servers are a pain in the arris, just take a clark and drop em. Won't beat the ones using a macro every time but it's damned satisfying when it works.

Titan gun whores are annoying 'specialy on FF on servers when they just spam them at the silo your trying to cap. TBH I can't think of a better solution than what you suggest, but it seems a shame to penalise those that do you use them as intended.

Agree, in-vehicle repairing has been possible since BF2 on all vehicles that allows using your own weapon. Its not an exploit.

I have done the inflight repair myself, and I couldn't keep up with the damage.
Two Engineers might be able to handle one AA, but there are lots of stuff that can hurt the Transport fast. Tanks and Walkers both have nasty AA.

And for the price of four man you get the ability to bring one gun on the target. Unlike earlier BF2 you can not make insta-caps this way, nor are the guns rays of death.

I still think, the best way to handle nade spamming, is to have a destroyable wall on either side of the Titan, so that when destroyed (It would take a full load of Gunship TV missiles) it opens up a second access to the lower corridors.

            .
[DICE] stated somewhere that this was an exploit and listed it as being fixed in one of the patches - so IM only reiterating what I read somewhere! I may have been mistaken though,it doesn't really matter anyway;I was just correcting the person who said that the heli cant be repaired in the move when I know for sure it can

Nobody said that it couldn't be repaired inflight, I was doubting that it could be kept at full health while under fire.

What DICE did about the infamous insta-capping heli from BF2 was to make only the driver count when capping flags.
I have never seen the inflight repairing being called an exploit, especially not by DICE. Do you have a link to that quote, or the relevant patch notes?

-get the same kind of points commanders get for orbital strike kills, or no points at all. (the reward of titan guns should be suppressing the enemy for your team, no to little personal gain)
that doesnt make any sense. commanders get points based on an average of everyone on the server. Whereas a titan gun user is actually killing people and should get a point for each kill. Respawning like the rorsch isnt a bad idea though.

I am so sick of people whining about this. When on the titan the defense is SUPPOSED to have the advantage. If they are working together to shut down that corridor there isn't supposed to be some easy way around it. That's the whole bloody point. Get off the titan and go cap some silos.

Or, just don't play on FF off servers as they are for noobs.

This is true. The talon is still far superior to the doragon even after patch 1.25

Yes the Transport of Death is difficult to take down when fully manned like that, but that is the way it is supposed to be. Good teamwork is supposed to be hard to defeat.

true. how bout it behaves like an essex in that the time after it dies and respawns, you can repair it as dead.

i suppose this is also true. i just wish the titan assaulters had a couple more options or something. entering a defended corridor is commiting sucide.

teamwork applies to tactical location and awarness too. just because you have a bunch of guys working together in a vehicle doesnt mean they should be able to be anywhere. have you ever played bf2 with the old blackhawk before they fixed this? Mashtuur City and Songhua Stalemate, the blackhawk was like immortal. just because you pile a bunch of people into a single vehicle doesnt mean you should be able to loyter taking missiles constantly.

Yes I did play bf2 before they nerfed the blackhawk and I was incredibly upset about it. The whiners who couldn't figure out how to bring it down ruined so many aspects of that game that I don't wish to happen to 2142. DICE could have beefed up the other transport choppers instead of nerfing the blackhawk. It was so much fun being a team and working together in the blackhawk. It is the same now. If you work as a team you can bring down the Transport of Doom. It is very simple. One walker + one gunship + one SAAW = One dead Transport. If you don't work as a team you will get pwned by those who are. Simple as that.

Would just like to point out that the Essex was actually the name of the ship and is based on the real life USS Essex which is an amphibious assault ship a bit like our HMS Ocean.

The guns you are reffering to are:
                          a) Phalanx CIWS (Close in Weapons System)
                          b) Sea Sparrow (AA Missile)

very true and i was aware the name essex belonged to the ship, just didnt wanna confuse ppl as thats what its regularly called.

Respawning Titan guns is an iffy idea if you ask me... unless it's like a 5 minute respawn.

Nade spamming isn't too hard to counter if there's the slightest delay between nades. Don't get stuck into the idea of "We must throw nades back!" just charge in and mow em down while they've still got a nade in their hand However, if the timing is right on the nades, it's unbeatable. Just leave a couple people on the Titan so the enemy can't abandon it completely while you go cap silos :)

RDX Bunnies... not much to do there unless they were to implement what you spoke of. (Funny story: Had an RDX bunny on top of our Titan killing us as we podded up to defend. One of his RDX's launched him up in the air... and he landed on our hangar shield :p )

Transport... they can keep repairing it, but 1) their repair guns overheat, 2) if you put out the damage fast enough (walker, gunship, ground AA) they can't repair fast enough.
