What about showing protected operating system files? If you cant see it, go to the top of the page and hit tool, then folder options, then view. Then make sure that you change "hidden files and folders" to "show hidden files and folders". Two lines below that is a line called "hide protected operating system files (reccomended)", make sure that this is no ticked. Then click apply, and you should see the radial.cdb file.Comment

did anyone notice too that this problem (i.e. the radial.cdb file getting corrupted) just vanished yesterday?
I dont have to delete it anymore everytime i want to play, because it doesnt get to +2MB size (seems to to stable now at 990 KB, whereas a few days ago it would grow to 1.5 MB after a few games or so).
the funny thing is, the (master?)server was down this thuesday, and the next day i play the problem seems to be solved... makes you wonder what they altered on the masterserver when it was down.Comment

I'm having this loading problem too; gets to around 60% then freezes.
I don't have the radial.cdb file, even with ALL hidden files/folders/system files shown, it's not there
I've uninstalled and reinstalled, didn't work. Deleted the 2142 folder in my documents (as I saw on another forum) and it didn't work either.
Anyone else having this problem?
Anyone know how to fix it other than what's said in this thread?Comment

i dont want to sound as an old LP-record, but did you try WinRAR to locate the radial file? I cant see the radial file too in win explorer, but for some reason winrar CAN see it and even delete/rename it.Originally posted by 90068I don't have the radial.cdb file, even with ALL hidden files/folders/system files shown, it's not thereComment

Count me in as another satisified customer of this particular fix!
IT WORKED!
This started yesterday suddenly just minutes after I had played a game with no problem. 5 hours of frustration later, I checked here. Found the file and changed the name.....viola! I'm back in the action!
Can anyone explain what this file does or why it suddenly becomes corrupted? Anyone had to perform this fix more than once?
muskiems....are you using XP or Vista? I using Vista and had to do some searching before I found it and actually came upon it accidently. I'll try to remember how I found it and where if you are on Vista. If you are on XP, it looks like the directions are pretty easy to follow. It's there. Seems to be a systems file that would be present in all installations.Originally posted by muskiems1Nothing's showing up in winrar for me either.Comment

This happened to me after over a year of trouble-free playing and the fix cured it first time.
However: it happened after I defragmented the drive using the built-in defragmenter in Windows XP, which I hadn't done in a long time. I wonder if the defragmenter caused the problem?Comment
