Nah I don't this so, ran every possible test, cleared caches. the works.

As of april 1, 2008 it had reset itself and a couple people I know had to reset it again. Make sure to follow the original instructions again.

Hey I hope you guys could help me out.

I do everything the thread tells me to do and its not working. When I come back to the final after I see its not working I see another radial.cdb. The map loads half way and then freezes.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game with the 1.50v patch and no use. I have tried reinstalling my video drivers and still no use. I really don't know what to do, and I have no clue on why everytime I come back to the folder the radial.cdb file is still there.... Ive been going at it for 4 hours now and I really have no patience anymore.


PLEASE HELP ME!

P.S. oh yeah... I cleared cache and all that... still no use.

you are successfully deleting the radial.cdb? it will keep re-creating, and that's not a problem. just make sure it deletes right the first time. and are you sure it's freezing? sometimes it takes a while to load especially after clearing cache.

yeah dude... I delete it and it recreates it self as soon as i open the game and start loading a map... I give it one minute from the position where its at... to move atleast one letter length and nothing happens...

Im fed up with it honestly...

I have my recyclebin setup to delete as soon as I hit delete.... I mean... Ive always deleted everything like that??

I just dont know why its recreating itself....

SOMEONE please help!!! im desperate.

yes it creates again when you load maps. it's normal. perhaps this issue is affecting other people right now for some reason? try giving it more time to load, especially if you're optimizing shaders.

well im reinstalling one last time then going to bed. Ill leave it loading if anything... I noticed once I used the alt + tab technique and it loaded a little bit more but not fully... so who knows....

I erased my video drivers... erased punkbuster... erased my documents/2142 folder... uninstalled punkbuster uninstalled bf2142.

I deleted the 1.50v update... and downloaded a new update from another server...

installed everything again didnt work.
did the radial.cdb file rename...
and it worked...
it took long while it loaded the first time but it worked...

ok nevermind... it crashed again...

I reformatted and everything is fine now... it took 8 mins to load the first time.

Hmmm ... I had the same problem. Unfortunately, the only fix that worked was to update my computer by purchasing a new video card. None of the previous fixes worked.

what was your previous video card then? where there other issuis with that video card or was it only bf? as i dont think a video card causes this problem, maybe drivers but not a video card...
