First serious game... Hogan's Alley... (First, last, and only game where I never lost to any opponent :rock:)

i'm as old as online fps's are, started on a 9.6k modem with quakeworld, recently joined a clan for bf2142 whose name i recognised from 10 years ago during those qw days :)

48 yrs young... I remember about getting excited about seeing Asteroids at the arcade.. WOOT!!!

I suppose WOW was my first multi player game, and migrated to the BF world.

I'm 28 started online FPS with Enemy Territory then BF2 and now BF2142 next FPS I'm looking forward to is COD4.

I am usually the oldest one around....58.

I spent 32 years in IT with a federal government agency and retired. When I started with them in 1972 everything was punch cards and our two work horse computers were each 32K ! We didn't even have "realtime" until 18 months later....

Started with Atari 2600 (one button, one stick), stayed on consoles through Xbox BF2 Modern Combat until a friend of mine introduced me to BF2 for the PC. And my eyes were opened for the first time… “They have JETS?! Holy sh!t, the maps are how big!?! The snipers have ghillie suits!?! Eff this Xbox B.S., I’m buying a gaming rig!”

38 Here. Started with Atari 2600 and Colecovision. Got into PC's right around the time of 286's or so. I remember paying $125 to upgrade my PC ram from 4mb to 8mb. And boy do I NOT miss the days of 2400 baud modems.

Anyways, XBox Live got me in to Multiplayer...but then did some CS and HL on the PC but found my true calling with MOH Allied Assault. Joined my first clan there, eventually did some COD and then BF2. Left for a year and a half or so to play WoW and now back to BF2142.

im 31 and have been playing online games for about 10 years now, played every version of the BF series and Americas Army Operations, we did used to have a 65 year old clan member in our AAO clan and he could whoop *** with the best of em lol

Apparently it's a myth that your reaction speed slows down with age. It's kind of hardwired. Muscles become less resposive and less strong but spamming a lmb isn't gonna put any strain on them

Please don't say "X years young..." First of all it's trite,and just sad and makes you sound like you're in some sort of geriatric product commercial i.e viagra, Metemucil, or Arthritis medicine.

Just say you "X years old" like every other well adjusted human being.

I'm almost 37. I remember having the original Atari 2600, and graduating to the Commodore 64, then the Amiga and then the PC.

I have been multiplayer gaming since the original Doom came out (modem to modem no less).

I have been hooked to gaming since I was 15 playing Ultima IV for hours upon hours (and envisioning an Ultima Online type of game even back then).
