SiN Episodes: Emergence Released

The first SiN Episodes, Emergence, has just been released via Steam. Those who pre-loaded and pre-purchased the game will have to spend just a couple of minutes verifying and decrypting the SiN files before playing, as per the usual for games released via Steam.



In other news, the German version of SiN Episodes has run into a bit of a delay while the USK (the German ratings board) takes their sweet time assigning the game a rating.

The SiN Episodes: Emergence product page on Steam Powered now has word that the release of the game in Germany is pending until the German ratings board USK assigns the game a rating. There is no word on how long the anticipated delay is, but it seems zee Germans will have to wait a little bit longer to get their SiN on. Furthermore, the page notes that SiN 1 is not included with SiN Episodes: Emergence in Germany.

I've just got through a nice little 4+ hour marathon of it. The dynamic difficulty is ace, for the most part. There were times where I would get through a part and die later on only to respawn before the first part and die almost immediately.



That's happened only once or twice though so I'm certainly not complaining too much. Hell of a game so far.

What an ugly game! That HUD is huge and bloated.

Warning - This game is crazy hard.



It's a real blast to play though, but you will die, a lot.

Great game. For 17.99 (Pre-Order) or even 19.99 regularly, this is a steal. If you haven't picked this up already, you're missing out on a very well made game.

Played it for 2 hours tonight. I'm liking it. I really like shooters that don't require 5+ shots to kill people. When you headshot people it usually splits their head into a few pieces. I haven't played it long enough to know if it's long enough to be worth the price for some people who are choosy on what they buy. I don't finish nearly all the games I have (I finish first person shooters and burnout games and that's about it right now) so at least I'll actually be beating a game for once.
