Influx of bad players & summer vacation. Coincidence?

I've noticed no increase in the percentage of bad players - it's still as high as it has ever been.

The nature of a game like 2142 is that it rarely attracts that 'middle breed' of younger gamer, who is a kid in most senses of the word, but knows how to control their outbursts and behave around the grown-ups so that everyone has fun. More often you get the two extremes:

1) The 13 year old who doesn't act a day over 8, and whose every third word - both in text and in verbal communication - is either "omg", "wtf", "hax", "noob", "nublet", "nubcakes", "LOL", "cheaterz!", "rofl", or the dreaded "omg!!!1 roflmfao hehe"

2) The standard, adjusted adult who is here to play professionally and have a good time.

Thats because us 16 year olds are in our own private corner shaking our heads at both groups and thinking "what idiots".:p

A couple weeks ago I began to notice a change in the game. More and more random granades are being tossed.

Tell me about it.

Last night, on Titan mode, enemy had boarded our titan, and i was having a face off with an enemy, face to face staring contest through a forcefield, and along comes pathetic N00b and lobs a nade at the forcefield.

Well needless to say, i hope he learned that forcefields *BOUNCE* the nade back, he earned himself a Well earned TK punish for that.

[edit] Oh and YES, SUPPORT NOOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, when a Sniper has a Zeller scoped at your head, yelling "NEED RESUPPLIES, NEED RESUPPLIES, NEED RESUPPLIES" for 5 minutes straight while you run around in circles, PRESS THAT BLOODY F4 KEY !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't really noticed a big increase in noobishness... but I have noticed that when I pick up a kit from other players nowaday... many more of them have no special load outs at all... just the standard.

So yes... I think there have been an influx of new players recently.

People here in Thailand have had an increase in BF2 players, so only 2 servers for 2142 exist now. Decrease here. Many of my clanmates (including me), play more BF2 than 2142.

Not cause BF2 is better... we sorta ... finished with 2142.

how can you call anyone a noob F4 wont drop supplies

I'll think myself lucky then, I've just started playing again after having a break for a couple of weeks.

Yesterday morning joined a Titan server, made a run for the gunship ended up in the gunners seat instead of pilot thought "Oh great, I'm gonna die in 2 secs" actually had a decent pilot. Next round he jumped into a transport, I thought what the hell jumped in as well as engineer, spent the whole round as a mobile spawnpoint/gun platform and got an insane amount of kills and repair points.

Last night joined a sever ended up in a squad that was working as a squad and completely over ran the enemy.

Depends on what connection you take.

I use the highest possible in my area (3MBPS connection(but the download rates are still bad)).

And I get around 20-30 ping.

BUT.

The 2142 servers suck, and they crash all the time.
