    How about this skill formula :
    Tp = Teamworkpoints
    Kt=Total kill
    Kv = Kills in vehicles
    t = time played
    Rv the relative value of a inf kill in a vehicle. 1/3 IMO

    So SkillScore = ( Tp +(Kt-Kv) + Kv*Rv ) / t

    Basically it is your score per minute, but with reduced points for Vehicle on Infantry kills.

    Sorry I actually mean skill level. Just as you said.
    But, let's take a look at the formula, why vehicle kills should times a relative value while infantry kills doesn't have to? I'm not a fan of vehicle whoring, but doesn't it sound problematic?
    Moreover should we consider a voss whore and a baur user to have the same skill level if they get same amount of kills? Certainly shouldn't. Being good at clark should be viewed as better than being good at voss, because everyone can be good at voss! Like voss, krylov is just the same thing.

      No, it was created exactly to avoid people inflating there skill by killing infantry with vehicles.
      In another thread we had people bragging about a high K/D ratio, which was achieved by walkerwhoring on the citymaps.

      Introducing a 1-point reward for destroyed vehicles would mean that those who use vehicle against other vehicles would not suffer a point loss, while those raping infantry will see little reward.

      Sure, if everybody could agree on the skill modifier for the different weapons. Which will never happen.
      Same reason that I didn't bother do differentiate between vehicles.

      Let me say again that this is not supposed to be the absolute measurement of skill. I don't think that can be done from the data available.
      But I believe almost anything is better than the raw point accumulation or K/D ratio.

        Keep in mind as well that the stats you're basing your calculations on are flawed themselves.

        - Lay motion mines, jump in a FAV, mines kill someone across the map = FAV kill instead of "infantry" kill
        - Shoot a tank with the Pilum, guy jumps out but gets caught in the (now empty) vehicle explosion = "roadkill" with the vehicle you shot instead of "infantry" kill
        - Not to mention the "unaccounted for" kills (your vehicle + infantry weapon kills won't add up to your total kills) which usually manifest themselves in-game as "Trippet is no more" or "Trippet [killed] ultra-n00b"

        Just something else for you mathematicians to consider.

          Being an engineer, I really don't mind vehicles (except walkers which are too bloody difficult to kill!)
