BF2 vs BF2142

I put 1500 hours into BF2 and about 300 into 2142. Says it all.

2142 was basically a glorified BF2 mod - some good refinements to gameplay, but not really a step forward.

BFV was basically a mod for 1942, and I had far more fun playing BFV. Same rings true with BF2 and 2142. 2142 is just more fun :yay:

BF2 (original no crappy mods and patches) > BF2142 by far!



While J-10 was a little better then American Jet. A skilled pilot made the difference. I shot down J-10 easily espcially vs people who don't know how to dog fight. While in BF2 I had best dogfights I remember a whole match dog fighting with 1 guy it was really good fun.

I never had a problem against dolphin divers and tank whores too.

in BF2142 air combat is just lame. unable to toss RDX a little further is lame. unable to drop down in vent and shoot due to bunny hopping code is lame. Squad play didn't make much of a difference from bf2 to bf2142. Actually squad play was better in bf2 before the squad leader nerf. A lot of people hate futuristic war i prefer current age combat (*points are call of duty 4 WOOHOo) Getting medals and badges was more difficult. its more fun to play over all

EU Walker is better than PAC's

EU gunship is better than PAC's

Fixed EU 1.40 air transport guns will be better than PAC's

PAC's default sniper rifle and assault gun are slightly better than EU's sniper and assault defaults.

I think ur just racist, i see no difference between walkers, they have the same accuracy they both can crouch and boost, and they both have a gunner for emp and turret, they both walk at the same speed.

seconldy PAC apc is better cuz it can swim, other than that there is no difference.

so ur just a freakin racist that thinks europe is the best, but sorry ur not, all vehicles have the same attributes, speeds and guns, so i think u must get this into ur thick uneducated head.

the PAC apc cannot "swim" and the EU walker isnt as bulky and imo is slightly harder to hit and tbh its dual chain guns mow infantry far better than the PAC one

I like both, but I have to say I like the rewards, unlocks, and persistence better in 2142. No more having to get thousands of points just to unlock one weapon, which sometimes turns out to be crap. (But if you have SF you get to unlock 2 with each rank ) I'm at the rank you get (forgot it's name already) at 8,000 points. The next rank is at 16,000 points. Holy #@&!!!! are you kidding me? I'll never see that rank.

The thing I do miss about BF2 are the map layouts. Overall bigger. Even a choke point map on BF2, Karkand, has ways around the action. In Gibralter you have to go through it in a certain manner and direction. No bypassing the Toll Station. Some of my favorite maps to play are the Titan ones in conquest 64 player size. Those maps are huge.
Plus, no red diamonds to expose your position in BF2. :nod:

Battlefield 2142 is better mainly because it flows like a Futuristic Battle unlike Battlefield 2 which did not flow at all.

LOL. yes PAC apc can "swim", i dont give a f*** if ur a noob ok? and rofl and lol again to you, u say its harder to hit infantry with EU walker, it has dual chain guns but thats just a skin you IDIOT, no coding made for them, they give the same damage and accuracy as PAC's, they are all the same vehicles with different skins, I know its too hard for you to understand this

One thing thats not working in public servers is the beacon
The squadleader place it somewhere, you spawn and you get killed
Spawning on the squadleader is better because you are not alone
with some luck you are with 6

Im more and more come to the conclusion that this game is great with a group(clan whatever) but when you play alone
it stinks...can wait untill FH2 :)
No more airstrikes and see enemy behind buildings signs and so on...
