BF3 for me is.... Spawn Die, Spawn Die, Spawn Die...

Or... Look up, gets pinned down, look up, gets pinned down.

Enemy can see me but I can't see the enemy

64p maps were always cluster f_ck even back in BF2 days except for few very large maps.

They need to bring the good old Highway Tampa back.

        Re: Meh.

The map designs plain suck, you can tell they are designed for 32 player consoles.

        Two maps with tunnels?

I dont think dice ever gave a shit about vets/pc and still dont.

Fix'd, though personally I disagree. The maps feel big enough to me, and I like the intensity in some of the urban maps with vehicles mixed in. Still getting used to piloting Jets, but the big maps feel good too. But the console versions max out at 24.

I think next week Yahtzee is going to review this game for Zero Punctuation. Lets see what he says.

            I am guessing:
            Lighting is too much
Another FPS game like all the rest
            Fighting Russia again, really?
Yeah, destruction, we see it already
Does a rocket need to be shot next to me all the time?

yeah, as a Yahtzee fan and the proud owner of Yahtzee apparel (I own an "I am an assasin... Shhh..." Tshirt) I only take his reviews as entertainment, and I personally do not agree with his "games have to stand up by the singleplayer alone" creed. He is also the sole reason why I hate the escapist community, despite me loving his content... Its just that whole site is full of wannabe yahtzees who jump on hating something because its not valve or its an FPS.

Are his reviews supposed to be serious? I always just thought they were parodies of real reviews.

Yeah they are, to a point. He has a lot of valid points, but just about every game gets destroyed, so I dont think people take him too serious.

He does not review multiplayer, as the experience is nonscripted, and depending on player skill and mentality.

It would be fun to see how he will trash SP of BF3, but everybody knows that BF3 is not about SP. I only play SP because I recently changed from inverted to CS-style mouse. My reflexes still command me to go inverted, though.

His view point that SP still matters has a lot to do with his English Major background and his agenda to push SP element of video games into the next form of art. None of that I vehemently disagree, even though, as science/engineer major, I certainly see things very differently. I think he put too much emphasis on story and writing. I don't blame him on that one, and it is very valid. Most multiplayers do not have story and necessity for good writing. As time goes by, co-op may get traction and become more popular in the future, and wirting will be more important.

The irony is that classical, academic art took a rebirth in gaming. Very few of those modern cartoon network style or the exhibitions from museums of modern arts can sell in the form of video games. Even game music is no exception. People who are familiar with Baroque music know immediately the elements are all over classical Nintendo games. As for modern games, you find more industrial, synthetic and heavy metal element than rock'n'roll, r&b and rap.

That's just my personal opinion, no need to spread it around.

Yes, I did observe that after trying to crawl under a car. Must be hitbox issue. If they are going to fix it, then it might open a can of unintended consequences.

Theres alot of structures you cant prone under for cover, seems like very sloppy hitboxes.
