I just feel requiring anything else is unnecessary, even Steam. It's annoying to click on the BF3 shortcut and origin opens first then the game runs, quite unnecessary. I hate having more than one store on my computer, i feel like the future i'm going to have 6 stores littering my desktop so i can play specific games. Eh! Personal experience, origin customer service is the worst, even worst then steam which is pretty bad.

No, I kind of expected it to be this way.
Actually it confirms that retail games can be registered to Origin, otherwise it could not be an requirement.

I'm gonna cross my fingers and hope that qtracker will be able to be used with BF3 since the game has to be used with an external (origin) program.

Dang that's nice! I've never been to original with my names, I wish I could come up with something special that I only have. Throughout my gaming I've used things like WillKill4Cooki, Shifty, OLDSPICE, UniformSierra, Yourlovingmother, etc.

I think I'm going to refer to military weapon names for my BF3 nick. They have awesome names for weapons and operations.

Anyone try out the new Steam trade beta, the buddy list had a complete overhaul and you can organize your contacts now like the game library. I can sort them into good friends, SSFIVAE, BFBC2 players and CoD players now.

If they fix the high CPU usage and add some more community features, it wouldn't be bad at all. The UI is much nicer than Steam's.

Im actually finding i prefer it to Steam other than the fact i have no games on it.

Buddy list glitches on me sometimes and I have to log in/log out sometimes, but everything else is fine. It loads much faster and it downloads almost .5 MB/s faster than Steam.

Thats funny too as I have downloaded a few games from Origin and I thought it was way faster than Steam was. I havent had any strange issues either. Buddy list works well.

I guess I just have the golden download of Origin.

On a more direct note, I am very upset about this origin thing. I signed up for origin a month ago to get free games offered by them and saw what a mess it is. It's like a really really bad/slow version of steam.

But does it really matter once the game has been installed? I mean, I would much have preferred to get it on Steam, but I doubt I will notice much difference when I am playing.
