Re: Origin will be required
Rambo: For the alpha we logged into Battlelog which I accessed from Firefox but you might use a different web browser and was able to choose a server from there. We were also able to look at our in game stats and some other things I can't recall. Now they might add a in server server list for the retail game but not sure. And yes Origin used to be EA online.

So if you don't have a Origin account already, it might be a smart move to get one to secure your nick.Leave a comment:

Re: Origin will be required
Please don't confuse Rambo more than what he is now.Originally posted by Anarchy1No, now your browser is your browser. There is still a browser, just instead of a normal browser in-game, it's in your browser. Just open up your browser, log in, and then click on the link to the browser. The server that you selected from the browser should now load straight from your browser. If you like, you can probably use the Origin browser to browse servers on the browser, but you probably won't be able to join it from that browser. You could need to take the URL from the server (the browser assigned each server a URL in the alpha), and then open that URL in your browser, and it should take you to the server in the browser, which you can then load from your browser.

Re: Origin will be required
Wow some of you are ridiculous. SO what if you need Origin to play BF3. But not getting the game because of that is just hard headed. How many of you all said the same thing when Steam first came out. Get used to it. This is the direction things are going.Leave a comment:

Re: Origin will be required
Yo dawg, I heard you liked browsers so we put a browser in your browser so can browse for servers while playing on servers.

well but it does hurt my performance for sure xD. when you have an old system you have to suck up every single power you canOriginally posted by Anarchy1Yeah, it loses quite a bit of CPU on my system, but it didn't hurt my performance (and doesn't in any of the games I play on it, like Crysis 2). Hopefully they do get it fixed though.

Re: Origin will be required
Perhaps, if it's like BC2 you can alt+tab and close it, though I don't like to alt+tab because when I return to the game I have some artifacts (some textures take times to come). It's annoying nonetheless, now you have to close 2 things and if you're on bad server and want to change you need to relaunch your web browser + Origin. Superfluous crap are the right words.Leave a comment:
