Did the alpha leaks help you decide on BF3?

So all kinds of alpha pictures and video leaks have come out showing an unpolished BF3. Did seeing these things help you decide to pre-order?

I actually think for alot of people who don't have any Battlefield experience it turned them away....reading the chat logs always give me a headache. Nobody seems to understand the concept of an "alpha" trial.

Yeah, I think that is one of the big reasons there are very few alpha/beta things anymore. The same will be said during the beta test about how buggy it is and unstable. I just dont get why people think they are going to be playing a finished product.

I can understand the frustration after release or after release and a few patches though.

If you guys are going to decide whether or not to buy a game based on an alpha build with one game mode and one map, and hardly anything complete, you're quite silly.

At least wait until the end of the beta when the game won't change too much anymore.

Its like MOH meets BFBC2, I still want a bigger map that shows off something with jets and sniping. I pre-ordered it.

Couldn't find a better word, I didn't want to be insulting, but I did want to point out that it wasn't the right time to judge the game.

A couple of things I'd like to see changed is the squad system, have a common and squad based commo-rose, the M16A4 ROF (burst and semi-auto only), and have the weapon's recoil match it's deviation. The current squad system sucks. Battlefield 2142's was the best in my opinion. Why not just implement that? It works very well.

Enough of this 3D orange chevron spotting crap, we need BF2/2142's commo-rose.

I'm also waiting to test a bigger map, I didn't pre-ordered yet. For now the game seems like BC2+.

I hope they reintroduce the commo-rose, tweak the 3D spotting and squad system.

Well, i still haven't preordered and i should only do it once i notice the game is a little bit more optimized

i also want commorose, artillery like the one in bf2 in conquest maps, and for the game to run in my computer with , atleast, a similar performance of bfbc2

My god, reading the alpha forums is a nightmare. Every thread is a complaint about some feature and someone saying that they won't get the game because of it. I do agree that 3D spotting needs to be eliminated/majorly fixed, the squads need to be 6 players, the squad leader needs to be able to give commands, and there needs to be a commo rose, but the way those features are implemented can easily change by the final build.

I completely forgot about commanders! We really need commanders again! Gosh, they're taking Battlefield out of this game.
