    Now you mention it, I think mine was entered the same way.
    So I guess it should work.

    I don't think you get a chance to redeem the code without having been approved first

    Is the code integrated with your EA email and password because if not I just got an extra code just emailed to me and the first one to message me, that doesn't already have a code, I will give the code to and they can try it and see.

    I have to say that its been one very fast "closed public" alpha.

    Here's the weird thing about that. I got the message saying

    "Thanks for your interest,
    but all of the Battlefield 3 alpha keys
    have now been given out."

    Ten minutes later, I go back there. It let's me attempt to sign in again and this time it didn't give me that message, it gave me the typical "WE'RE SORRY - YOU DON'T MEET THE CRITERIA TO ENTER THIS SITE" message.

    Curious.

    well for everybody else who didn't get in, it's over; site says "all of alpha keys have been given out".

    I understand. I have to change my controls to the CoD ones because that's what I'm used to.

    Thanks for the script man thats a big help! Im actually an arrow keys player (flame me now) and so having to use the wasd keys is way out of my comfort zone. Nevertheless im slowly getting used to it.

    No I don't, but I only ever need to push one button at once (I only changed the prone, crouch, and weapon selection buttons)

    EDIT: It's also possible to enable toggle zoom (something I really needed!)

    1) Download and install Notepad++ (http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v5.9.3.html)
    2) Open Notepad++ and open the "PROF_SAVE_body" file that is located in "C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Local\BF3\settings". The AppData folder is a hidden folder, so make sure you have the option to display hidden folders enabled.
    3) You should see a bunch of black boxes and some text. Look for the text that says "HoldButtonToZoom". Next to it you should see some black boxes and then a "1". Simply change the "1" to a "0" and save
