    Re: Destruction toned down

I love the P90, one of my friends had one for his airsoft team, even though it was a toy, when He lent it to me for a couple of rounds, the size and weird design made it awesome to maneuver inside buildings. When I went on a Euro trip a couple of years ago, I came across some cops that had one each, boy they looked so badass.

@Lordsethonan I know it has been awful in most games, the best one was in R6 Vegas IMO. Hope they can pull it off in this one and don't make it a terrible SMG.

Also I hope snipers don't have tracer rounds, I hated that in Bad Company.

Back on topic, I hope high caliber snipers can tear down chunks of walls.

Yeah, oddly enough, in the only game it was ever overpowered it couldn't be called P90; and it was on th emost perfect console FPS ever: Goldeneye 007.
      The RCP-90 trunced everything else.

I like the sniper trails, it makes snipers compromise to their shots; your usual headless chicken will completely ignore the tracers anyways, and it's there to force the sniper to go for one shot kills and them move around to avoid detection; they put in scope glare for BF3 tough. So far I haven't seen trail bullets in any of the videos.

Could have sworn I seen red and green tracers in a Metro video somewhere. Like one of the first vids released.

Speaking of guns, I hope they don't put any futuristic looking guns like the shotgun that look like the saint louis arch in bfbc2.

                This one? The SPAS-12?

I hope there's an AA12 in this game. It would be really cool, especially in those tight corridors on Metro.

This is my favorite shotgun though. The Remington 870 models.

That is the most beautiful shotgun in the world, and by far the best pump in my opinion. I really hope this game properly portrays the devastating power of shotguns. They can kill people at to 100m easily without slugs.

I love the spas 12! Funnily enough though, its actually quite old (1970's designed) and rarely used, but I think its not bad. It should be a Semi auto though. using it in pump action mode is only reserved for low powered rounds.

Well BC2 has devastating shotguns that have more than double th eusual range in videogames before you put slugs in them; and then they turn into sniper rifles with slugs on lol.

I converted a friend to BC2 when I showed him that even the AR shotgun attach is this deadly.

                      Re: Destruction toned down

Bringing this back on topic I can only agree that one should not be able to bring down 10 story buildings. First of all because it would require a load of C4 to bring down a steel reinforced building. The paper maché walls of BFBC2 should be penetrable by basically every weapon, except the tracer. But the exterior walls can hold their own. We also saw the containers in BC2 were magically impenetrable to everything and so was everything on the beached ship.

We should allow the devs some freedom in not allowing full destruction of buildings as it could ruin the gameplay completely if everything was destructible. Just image a 20 story building falling down. That would leave so much insurmountable rubble in the street that one side might be caught dead in their tracks.
But it could be fun with different things to blow up instead of the M-coms and it could end with a cut-scene as we see it in BC2 already.

If Zombie Apocalypse ever comes, I'm getting that one. And I agree, it's my #1 shotgun. Why won't anyone make a weapons thread??..

On topic, I find it ok for them to tone down destruction, with maps so big and making every building destructible, the performance would have a huge impact.

When you see red beams spots or shiny red things that look like tracer darts from bfbc's those are the new lazer attatchements in bf3. They are suposed to help your fire-from-the-hip acuracy and to blind your enemies if you point the lazer at their faces, but ill also give your position away in the dark (such as flashlights):P

                            Edit: Found it!
