I'm all for blowing up national landmarks if we get to napalm bomb mount rushmore or C4 lady liberty too.

The thing with blowing up HOUSES in BC2 with the GL was that ... BC2 is an action movie-like game, while BF3 looks more on the realistic side. I remit you to the BC original I dont need no doors footage:

And that's the Bad Company attitude.

It's a real fun game storywise; it's like airplane! to fps games.

I'm still hoping for a shameless cash grab by EA for PC; it's way more based on humor compared to BC2 wich is rather dark and serious.

Yes I was really dissapointed with the BC2 campaign, the humor is meh compared to the first one and the maps are less open except 1-2 (like the one in the desert with the buggy).

Well BC2 is parodying the ultra serious MW storylines, but it lost some of the charm of BC1 because B company turned from being guys who don't want to be there into a somewhat elite unit; the best of the rest if you will; it's got humor but it's not "funny" anymore.

Well, destruction wasn't the only thing toned down. IQ required to play this game seems to be quite lowered too.

Not to mention authenticity just took a b!tch slap to the face from the weapon dev. Fully automatic M16A4? Screw you DICE

They toned the destruction down for the Alpha.

I wouldn't get your opinions all bunched up just yet.

That is such a pathetic excuse. I didn't expect something this low from somebody like you Crunch.

If you start removing all originality from the weapons, they're all the same present in different wrappers. Wanting weapons to retain the most basic level of authenticity is asking too much?

I hope you were being sarcastic.

No I wasn't. You've been complaining about weapons being realistic for years now. The devs for both cod and battlefield has said they would work on making looks and animations better and they never get it 100% and they are not going to.

Games are like Hollywood movies, sometimes they don't get it right. Arma did though and since realism is such a deal breaker for you, you might check into it because I think bf3 isn't going to be spot on.

Also, maybe a little peace of mind, Demize in a tweet has stated that a lot of the looks and animation are place holders and are not done.

Demize said it on Twitter some time ago. I don't have a link, unfortunately. But I'm 99% sure he said it.

Crunch, I'm not a fanatic in any way. I buy the games and play them anyway. BF:BC2 had major weapon animation errors. These errors weren't a deal breaker, but in the back of my mind, after every reload or use of a certain weapon, I feel somehow disappointed in the quality.

I also have different standards for different titles. Battlefield 2 was fun in that it was an arcade game, but kept realistic weapons and vehicles. Sure not all animations were spot on, and it didn't bother me too much. Games like Call of Duty get the animations and models down pretty well for a game that I consider doesn't need ANY authenticity whatsoever.

All I'm asking for is a properly modeled weapon and firing mode. How am I being too demanding? How is that zealous and realistic-simulator demanding?

Besides, real guns, and their animations, are already freaking awesome and impressive, I don't see any need to add to it.

People need to complain about all the minor details, as well as the big ones. Attention to detail is a good quality.

I agree with what you are saying, however, your reaction toward something like this makes it seem otherwise. The majority of people don't know about a weapon and more don't care.

What I would do is make a nice show of weapons and send it to Demize. He is the one going to the ranges and making this stuff. He may blow it all off, but at least you know you did all you can instead of telling them to screw off and buy their game anyway.
