Did you see the quoted part where it says what the frostbite engine will have in BF3? I thought you all would like to see that as well.

You can definitely see in the video, Tehran style buildings at 1:33 and city style, and then Paris inspired buildings at 3:50, I know it shows off the shadows and lighting which are amazing, including that palm tree at the end!

Eh, nothing there that really interests or impresses me. Show us some ingame footage, it doesnt even have to be Battlefield

It's just highlighting one aspect of Frostbite. It isn't necessarily supposed to be wowing.

                    amirite?

Re: Frostbite 2 engine real-time radiosity

                        But how does it perform?

There's no point to it if only the high end machines can utilize it.

Re: Frostbite 2 engine real-time radiosity

a lot of DX10/DX11 features are about efficiency, so features native to them can potentially be pushed further with little or no extra resource use

look forward to seeing more features from the engine, expect some good advanced stuff in there, should add greatly to the atmosphere of the game if they get it right

Yeah. It's the little things that can really make an impact.

Right. DICE has spent about 4 years to bring frostbite up to version 2 and one of the main points in going to DX11 is because of the resource utililzation.
