Hardly anyone uses VoiP in BC2 it seems. It makes me a sad panda. I generally only use a mic when I'm playing with friends and then we just use skype or summat.

Yea, I rarely ever use any kind of ingame VoiP, ventrilo seems to win most of the time.

No commander!?!??!!???!?!?!??! That's what made BF2 awesome, a player all about teamwork and i like how the article says that no one played commander, i think the only time no one was a commander was when the game had less then 12 people in it, but every other time there was a commander and it def added to the game, epic fail trying to be more like COD.

they havent really 100% confirmed there will be no commander, but it looks likely, they basically want to spread the commander experience and abilities out to everyone playing

so wouldn't be surprised if say squad leaders got rewards for helping team etc, if there are squad leaders

"No mod tools at release" That's not good. That's what made 1942 and BF2 last so long. It's guaranteed that more people would not be as bored if they had mods for BC2.

Yeah, because the mods the majority of gamers played and are currently active are stagering. Lets count them all real quick:

Project Reality

Mods helped 42 a lot, but then rank was born and that was that.

Hmmm, well if we include all the dead and failed ones, or the ones that are starting up, there are a lot.

As for the commander. I was banned twice for being a commander and MANY servers had no commander rules. I liked the feature and thought it was great. Probably the reason why no one played commander because as soon as you becameone, you were vote kicked off.

LOL, yeah. Maybe I was just lucky. It didnt happen often, but enough that I gave up for a while. There were many times where I was commander and instant vote kick. I wasnt commander 2 seconds. It wasnt every time. I enjoyed being commander. I tried not to spam, gave orders, and was pretty equal on the assets. I was hidden as engineer so I could protect/repair assets and I didnt fight and command, though I could.

When 2142 came out I made a video on how to be commander and actually got praise for it! I love the position both as commander and squad leader, but more times then not, the awesome "community" made the job difficult and didnt care.

So bottom line, community doesnt care about Commander or mod tools. If they did, youd have them.

Gah... Why does stryker have to keep screaming "OMG they Trying to be liek CoD!" ? No they are not. Battlefield didn't always have a commander feature, It wasnt present in 1942 and Vietnam. Hell, I would like a commander feature too, It feels better than an automated system giving you orders or assests, but the lack of said feature doesnt immediately mean its a CoD clone.

Really wish they'd at least go to five classes, four is not enough. Need the support kit back to take the LMG's away from medics and the ammo away from assault.

Medkit -> Assault and LMG+Ammo -> Support
