Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Yeah, I've had kits go back and forth between Combat Training and MP. And if I have perks unlocked on one, but not the other, it sometimes gives me random perks.
So, I raced through the SP part to try that out, and I am also left with he impression of a rushed release here.
Most annoyingly, I had to restart the first level twice.
On the first occasion, a scripted door opened and trapped me behind it. Suiciding kept spawning me in the same trapped spot.
On the second occasion, a scripted collapse of a doorway was probably intended to keep me from retreating into the house. But I was still in the house when it collapsed, and again suicide just spawned me in the same space.
I was rather mad at that point, but thankfully I didn't encounter anymore script-traps.
The story itself was not that bad (compared to MW2), but doesn't each iteration of the series put us more and more on rails? Follow this guy, support that vehicle, pickup that launcher, go to this way point 10 meters from the previous one.
It also felt a bit repetitive, kind of like it was the same story repeated three times in sequence. The basic idea behind the story was sound, but they should have run it past an editor one extra time.
Another thing is that when you detract the swimming, running, driving, gadget-operating and whack-a-mole-until-next-script event, there isnt really that much left of the FPS part.
And as usual, I hate the consolish action-sequences with "Press F rapidly to bang you head against the wall"
Again, its not bad, but it just feels like the quality of the series has been declining with each new release.
Yea and I know its Call of Duty, but it just has soo much bull in it, that it takes away from the story. Its like how many times are you guys going to reiterate the same old wrong, military cliches that have permeated this game since CoD2.
Oh! Lets call in an "air support!"
*helicopter swoops in ludicrously low and uses its 2013982103982 rockets and endless mini gun bullets to obliterate a house with 4 machine guns shooting out of the windows.*
Or better yet, the scenes in which run as fast as you can straight up a hill or across an airfield, miraculously running through bullets and a mortar barrage that is falling and killing everyone else around you. Then at other times impossible to get a shot off from your well protected, heavily covered position because enemies that are running at you from a mile away are shooting their weapons from the hip and hitting you with every other shot.

Just do something different for once...
you left out blackhawk down moments... for each cod that had helicopters. There has to be one scene when one get shot down and spin like crazy.
If it's one part where the singleplayer really lacks its realism. Looking past that I found it very fun. Heavily scripted and extremely linear, sure, but it was done very well in my opinion with the whole storytelling. The missions were pretty varied and the guns are fun. And I gotta say, first story in a CoD game to actually have a twist that surprised me.
[spoil=SP spoilers]I saw the twist coming a mile away, it is a old as sin in spy stories.
But I don't blame them for that, the topic has been done to death by far more competent writers, it is hard to come up with something new.
No what annoyed me most with the story was how he kept getting captured. It almost like MW2 where they had to kill you off every 10 minutes. Here every second mission or so ends with you getting captured.
Cuba,Vietnam, The arctic as Reznow and rebirth Island. Possibly more it was getting so repetitive that it is hard to remember what happened when.
But otherwise the only time where I thought "thats to stupid to believe" was when they were torturing a guy, and five seconds later he was on their side in a gunfight, no hard feelings. The torture scene was in bad taste btw.
So IMHO the stupid index has dropped a lot since MW2

[spoil=SP spoilers]Yep, the twist was pretty obvious. They even basically said it in every single epileptic cut scene thing.
"We?"
"You're talking about Reznov?"
Obvious, but nonetheless, I really enjoyed the SP.[/spoil]
I don't know if it has been addressed already but is Ninja Pro overpowered? I think it sounds stupid to have that along with silent footsteps because I'm sure it is already the popular perk like it was in the other CoD's. You should have to sacrifice something to get a good perk like that. (I don't have the game yet btw)
